They are working 5 days a week with some Saturdays. And they will not be building 1000 Broncos a day unless they halt Ranger production. Current estimates are 1100 units a day when fully ramped up, 70/30 Bronco/Ranger split. 750-800 Broncos a day.How bout 6 days a week for 12 months, 312. Minus 10 days for holidays, 302. 302,000 in 12 months. Hmm
I was going by what Premierdrum stated. He posted that some time ago, so he may have said 70/30 and not 80/20.They are working 5 days a week with some Saturdays. And like you Mike, owning a Corvette we understand that process quite well. Every time I heard the word "constraint" I knew I was screwed.Ford will build a mix of Bronco trims based on parts allocation from their suppliers. First Edition doesn't mean first built and delivered.
I just ordered a new Ranger, and the funny thing is it's being held up now because of the plant playing around with the Bronco. IT'S ALREADY STARTED.......They are working 5 days a week with some Saturdays. And they will not be building 1000 Broncos a day unless they halt Ranger production. They shutdown for a couple weeks to retool for Bronco, but they are back up already. They are in the middle of building 138 testers over 4 weeks, alongside normal Ranger production.I just ordered a new Ranger, and the funny thing is it's being held up now because of the plant playing around with the Bronco. Do you know if those testers will end up in journalists' hands? Or are they just testing the line? They shutdown for a couple weeks to retool for Bronco, but they are back up already. They are in the middle of building 138 testers over 4 weeks, alongside normal Ranger production.
Combination of testing the line, and safety/EPA testing. They are sent through rigorous quality checks then crashed and/or crushed. None of these will end up as show vehicles is what I was told. After these tests they will be qualified for highway use and then can be assigned VINs etc.Do you know if those testers will end up in journalists' hands? Or are they just testing the line?
