Looking for feedback on where Ford decided to put the emergency brake. I drive a manual transmission and absolutely despise the location of the brake! Curious to get other's thoughts. If you could move it, where would you put it?

I was shocked at the placement when I got my Bronco. I'm like, yeah, I'm never gonna reach down there in case of an emergency, so I'll just die.

For an auto vehicle it's fine, but it's a cruel spot for the manual owners. I've got used to it somewhat still annoying spot since it's out of site.

Another manual trans owner here wishing it were in a more convenient spot. I'm sure they were trying to mimic the location of the old mechanical E-brake releases but this thing's fully electronic. How about a button on the dash or even the steering wheel.

Muscle memory. Couple of months now and I don't even think about it. My hand just goes there. The last 5 or 6 vehicles I've owned had the E brake in different locations. I was able to get by in all of them. I'm sure the Bronco will be the same.

I prefer the handle by the center console, but that’s just my muscle memory. I’m sure I could adjust if needed if I ever get my Bronco scheduled and delivered.

While I don’t disagree. There are about 50 other places I would have put the brake. The location is where the old brake release used to be not where the brake used to be. Big difference.

It's still the brake release, so you are already used to reaching there, right? Instead of reaching there 50% of the time, now you just reach there 100% of the time.

Yeah, I like a pull lever, of which I've had various types, better than anything. A foot brake is great too. Unfortunately this is all electronic, so why not put the switch where you are already used to reaching for the release? Like a lot of things with a new vehicle, you just learn where it is and drive on.

Hate it. Not a fan of an electronic brake on an off-road vehicle. I have had them on Euro vehicles since 2011. All have been positioned on the console. That was convenient and worked well. The Bronco location is just bad. I am blindly feeling trying to find it.

Really should just be a button on the steering wheel at this point.

I like the foot pedal set up as "push to set - push to release".
