but what this graph does show, is that the total production should be enough.
meaning if they are split up with their dealers every one COULD get their bronco this year.

so what I suggest, call your dealer and see if you can find out where you are in their line. And how many allocations they have. If your close to the limit of the year or over. Meaning likely to get pushed to MY23, call around to other dealers and see if you can get closer.

but if your in the top 2/3 of allocations this year. I wouldn’t worry at all.

Reservations mean nothing when someone can order a bronco in December of 21 and have it by January of 22

I was a day two reservation and am scheduled for a February 9th build date. So this projection fits my situation, well done.

Reservations and allocations are not compatible for a single product. Orders should never be constrained by allocation if you're in a customer service mindset. Sorry, but dealers should have to 'deal' with the issues, not the customers.

Wow, I guess I'm lucky then, my rez was 7/17/2020. Order converted October 2021, built on Jan 13 2022 and showed up at the dealer (Walls Ford Salisbury MA) Jan 24 .... ETA was Feb 3. Black Diamond, soft top, mid package, 2.7L, tow package. Originally had the hardtop but I changed it before the dealer converted the order. Guess I'm lucky - Wall's said they have done about 6 Bronco's so far. I would say they are a medium size dealer. They followed my instructions - no stickers, or front plate. They also said they can get black Bronco's and Bronco Sports faster. They had 3 Sports in black on the lot. I asked what was on the carrier and mine was the only Bronco, the other cars were going to other dealers. Seems to be very random.

I ordered 10/13/21, no reservation. Mine had a VIN and build date by 3rd week of December. The build date is mid February and has held since it was initially put in place and was still locked as of this week...

ordered 7/7/21 hard top OBX 4 door v6, lux, sas, area 51 production 3/28/22. In my opinion, it's the luck of the draw- if they have all the parts for your build you get pushed to the head of the line. the dealer did try to switch me to a soft-top to get it sooner. I refused, Michigan is no place for soft tops in winter. Stick your guns and get the truck that you want.

👆 @Ford Motor Company. After all, who’s the end user? Customer centric or no?

So made a few graphs to illustrate when you MIGHT expect YOUR bronco to be built based on when you ordered.
using numbers from how many reservations were made and assuming 70% order rate. Comparing that to production numbers which (fingers crossed) have been hovering around 10k units per month for the last 3 months.

so baring any further delays heres what i got .

first orders by day of reservation (first 30 days)
F2CCB154-4884-47F8-AAD1-72834C44DBEB.jpeg

so as you can see the VAST majority of reservations were the first 24hrs after it went live. So if you reserved yours in that first day. Your in that group. Then a steady decline from there.
Total orders is (roughly) 140,000 units. Cant find any GOOD data on it. But roughly 70k of those were reserved in the first 24 hours or half the total.

now production numbers. (Will be updated Monthly)

View attachment 254973
so based on this data. If you reserved yours within the first 24 hours and HAVENT gotten yours yet, baring any more hiccups, you SHOULD get it by April? Maybe later. Again guestimations. Then if you reserved it in the first week, you should see it by July. Then within the first 30 days you should see it by September. Then if you have an order AT ALL (including if you made it today) you should see it by the end of the year. (By which point there SHOULD be about 175,000 built)

i know thats a LONG time meaning some people will be waiting 24+ months from the time of reservation to delivery. But thats what happens when you have the hottest vehicle in 30 years mixed with a global supply chain issue.
Broncos are built AS CLOSE TO reservation order as possible, but theres 2 major factors

1 dealer allocation - Some dealers get their broncos faster than others.
So if you know your order is at a larger dealer move your timeline up, smaller move back.

2 part supply issue - some items are taking longer to fill, Towing packages, hard tops, manual trans, 2.7L, 2 door, and higher trims requiring more chips etc.

this is just for a rough time line of how long your vehicle MAY take.
Thanks for attempting to put some sanity around the Ford production debacle. The data as painted might be valuable if Ford was building in reservation order as they originally stated. However, Ford is building in dealership allocation order first and foremost, then in constraint order and, only then, look at reservation order. Because Ford changed the build order from what they originally stated, people that only ordered 2 or 3 months ago already have their Broncos at home. As a 2-door (with no constraints otherwise), my order sits at #18 at my dealership and has been in that position since October. Meanwhile other Broncos Jump to the front of the line -- according to Ford this is due to constraints. At the same time, newly placed orders - with my same build - are being delivered to non-reservation holders and ordered as recently as December.

Please show the formulas and graphs that account for Ford's methodology for selecting production dates. Unfortunately, it's not possible without knowing (a) the allocation for each dealership and (b) without knowing how Ford selects which dealerships are allotted the limited constraint commodities, because that is not done in reservation order either.

Your assumptions and charts would be useful if Ford built by reservation order as they had originally committed. Sadly, as it stands, the assumptions do not coincide with how Ford is producing the Bronco.

Yea. Especially with your build you ordered. 2 door, sas, lux, 2.7, MIC top. All of those are back ordered. So just based on reservation date alone your looking Q4. Im hoping that you will get it before years end. But you got about 80,000-100,000 orders ahead of you

So based on those new numbers, it looks like everything got bumped up? Earlier, your chart showed July for week 1 but now it's getting closer to April?
Yes. So long as production stays up. The projected line is a 3month average.
