I received my EZ Trunk Monday evening and installed it in my 2024 Wildtrak 4dr soft top. The trunk came in two boxes and was well packed. No scratches or damage. Installation was simple and straightforward. The included instructions and video links show installation on a hard top Bronco. For the soft top, the supplied soft top brackets are used towards the front instead of the brackets that clip under the tub rail (see photo #5). Once the side panels are in, the center section is put into position and unfolded. You center this section and then bolt down the bottom brackets to the floor of the Bronco using one bolt hole from each of the four tie down points. At this point the install is complete. The unit fits perfectly. All edges have molding to prevent scaring up your interior trim. The top can be folded down to get larger items in the cargo area without the need of removing it from the vehicle.
Very happy with this product. At less than half the price of the Diabolical slipstream, you can’t go wrong with this security enclosure. Ken from EZ 4x4 was great to work with. He’s going to send me a promo code to share with the group. When I get it I’ll post it on this thread.
Updated!!!!
Just got a text from Ken at EZ 4x4. For forum members, 15% off with the discount code is EZFM15. This is good until the end of March 2025.

Have a few questions on this item if you don't mind.

1. The bolts on the outside of the box, do they just spin unless you have a wrench holding a nut on the inside of the box or can they be take off from the outside?

2. What is the purpose of the square opening on the back by the seats that can be seen in your last photo? It appears to be an access hole, but there doesn't appear to be an easy/quick way to open it.

3. It appears to have more floor space than the Tuffy box, can you place a regular size floor mat for the trunk inside the box?

4. Can you remove or not put on the EZ Trunk decals on the top lid and the back by the seats?

1. The screws on top thread into nutserts. The side panels bottom brackets screw dome to the existing inserts in the floor of the Bronco used for the tie down points. Without opening the tailgate, you wouldn’t be able to remove any panel.
2. I asked Ken from EZ4x4 the same thing. They plan to come out with a locking trap door for this area in the future.
3. My cargo line fit fine. I just had to cut a slit in the left and right from corners to get it to fit perfectly and lay completely flat.
4. The decal on the top lid is actually embroidered into the marine carpet. I suppose you could remove the carpet if you wanted to. On the website it said the carpet was sold separately but mine came with the carpet. I was planning on putting the foam marine matting the top but the carpet looks good. As for the decal behind the seat, I believe it can be removed. Looks like a typical auto emblem.

Hope this helps.

Thanks..... I am getting a little frustrated with this company..... I have waited since Dec to purchase as i was waiting till closer to shipping and delivery as they keep pushing it back. I ordered a few days ago because the last update on 2.11 says shipping has been delayed till the end of the month, which would be now. Well I was just told these are now pushed back till the end of March.

Edit: now they are saying they get them on march 9th and then will go out accordingly.

Yeah, I ordered mine at the end of November. Last week I sent in an online chat with my order # asking if they had an ETA. Ken responded that he received two units and asked if I had a hard top or soft top to which I replied soft top. He responded it would ship out in the morning. This was last Thursday and I received it Monday. It’s worth the wait. Far superior to the Ford /Tuffy enclosure and less than half the price of the Diabolical. I’m sure the slipstream is a great product, I just couldn’t justify spending that much cash.

Update: Just wanted to let everyone know that the IAG EZ Lift and EZ Pull combo kit will work with the EZ 4x4 Trunk without any modifications. Just finished installing it.

Have another question. Can you re-use the 4 Bronco tie-down rings with the EZTrunk like you can with the Tuffy enclosure? The bottom plates on the Tuffy enclosure appear to be the same as the EZTrunk (just flat plate with two holes). I hate to lose the ability to use a cargo net in the trunk to keep smaller items from jumping around.

Yes, plates are flat just like the Tuffy.

How's the noise? Any rattling at all when folded down or when it's locked into place that you've noticed?

Haven’t heard anything yet. One thing I did notice is the factory subwoofer is non-existent with the trunk deployed. Audio upgrade is now next on my list. Lol

Awesome just ordered one because of your post for my new raptor, we'll see how it goes! Had a diabolical slipstream for my last bronco but this looks great in regards to being even easier to set down and up. Thanks for the post and response!

Any idea if this will work with the slide out tailgate?

Not sure. If you bolted it down ontop the slide out to the cargo tie down point I would suspect the sidewalks would be too tall. When bolted to the floor, the height it flush with the top of the tub rail. You may be able to remove the slide out (all 8 bolts), install the side panels using 4 bolts, then re-install the slide using the remaining 4 bolts. It would definitely be a trail and error.
EX4x4 does have a slide out shelf that works with the trunk. It’s up off the floor height that the ford slide out tailgate and you wouldn’t be able to sit on it.
