Finally called Ford

Lol... I did, trust me it took a lot of mental convincing for me to walk away . But she had a mod bumper, mine was ordered without one. Actually currently trying to get the dealer to swipe the capable bumper for a mod bumper. My ignorance didn't realize it's importance when I ordered it. 🫤

Ahhhh okay gotch ya. But don’t stress over not adding the mod bumper. You can always order the mod bumper thru Ford. It’s what I’m going to do. Didn’t want to add onto my my monthly payments n just pay for bumper straight up when I’m ready.

Lol, maybe sometime in the future after my time is done working for Ford, but currently even with all her planned mods she'll be parked in my garage and babied... kind of a retirement gift for myself lol

Dirt mountain is a nickname we've given to an overflow lot at Willow Run airport near the Wayne Assembly plant. It's a holding area for trucks that roll off the line, but still need additional attention. Mine was there for the MIC top 1.0 issue. Others have been because of microchips.

Hell, if I lived that close, I'd drive by and see how full that lot is, but I'm 3 hours away in Ohio. I'll bet people in the same situation would appreciate a few recent pictures.

The guard has threatened to call the law on people who stop, but it's a public street. Just pull over on the southern side of the road away from the airport fence.

It's an awesome idea, but the one I ordered had a few extras. I ordered both tops, tonneau cover... That's dealer installed so that's not that big. Body armor molding, dealer installed also, Slide out Tailgate. I guess I'm somewhat superstitious lol

I had my truck built on 7/13 and "in production" until 8/7. It went back to order confirmed and is on the train now for a 8/14 delivery so you just never know with this stuff.

Naa.. I chickened out lol. On my way home I actually went to the dealer again and spoke to her about an email I got from corporate Ford I called about. I put up a new thread about it. You might get a kick out of it, I think I called the thread "Lady luck winked at me" lol
But I might get brave enough at some point and try to look for it at the lot

Sooo I finally decided to put my big boy pants on and call Ford regarding my Bronco WildTrak. Talked to my dealer couple days before she said "It's been produced, It's in finalizing stage. Almost there" I said okay I'm good with that...But I really wasn't, so today I called... Yeah, I'm a stubborn one lol
Not much different, The lady on the phone was very kind (as expected). Long story short I gave her my VIN number (as requested), she said "please hold for a few minutes". She came back and said "your Bronco has been produced, but I'm sorry to say I can't give you a delivery date. It's being updated." That was basically it, I said thanks and hung up. My build date was 7/19, currently all my modules have an active for over a week now.
So I'm thinking, updating for what? It just came off the line. My educated guess is it's being put in a lot waiting for updated parts from a recall.
Any other guesses, I'm listening.

My BLwas built 7/24, got email in process of being shipped but no date. While waiting my dealer told me last week that maybe 8/7 and a call I made to Ford a few days ago said 8/11. Yesterday I got the email stating at dealership for final preparation and dealer contacted me as well. So no emails from Ford from 7/24 build until at dealership on 8/9. Overall, very quick.
Ordered 4/3, changed 5/26, built 7/24, by rail and truck to NY dealer 8/9.

Mine spent 3 months in that Willow Run lot the named it "Ramp 59" now FYI. 4dr spent 9 months up there last year. Hopefully dealer can get my pain and top fixed today and I can bring it home. Been a long 3yr wait.
