Finance question- loan not on credit report

Took delivery on 10/8. credit karma blew up with the dealer shipping our loan. We have gotten emails welcoming us to the credit union, the account doesn't show up in credit karma... I haven't had ANY loans since 2010 and just started watching credit karma a few years ago.

wouldn't really care, but Bronco baby #2 is being built and I want to make sure our credit scores are in the excellent range for the Second purchase

generally these days, a credit hit for a car loan gets you once, the credit reporting companies bundle them together as a single bump if they come in within a couple weeks, no matter how many. You should be fine.

Your credit report or score dont usually update right away when new accounts are added. Lenders typically send updates to the credit reporting agencies once a month. If you took delivery and did financing on Oct 8, you should see it on your report in the next couple weeks.

Also applies to mortgages. You can shop around and have 30 different companies pull your credit, still only affects your credit score one time as long as they all pull your credit within 14 days

So two things:

1. As others have mentioned... it will often take a few months for a new loan to appear on your credit report
2. Credit Karma only gets data from TransUnion and Equifax. Your credit union may only be reporting to Experian... in which case it'll never appear on Credit Karma.

When you open a new account, your credit report or score normally doesn't change straight away. Once a month, lenders make information to the credit reporting bureaus. If you took delivery and financed, it should appear on your report within a few weeks.
