I bought from you and my 2023 VIN is so sad because it can't be programmed. The 23 stuff hasn't been released yet. I'll reach out to Ford Performance and see if I can get some info on when it's expected.
Best case scenario you buy the used procal and Ford loads a new tune for a new vehicle on it for $3-400. Worst case it's not able to be linked to another vehicle at all. I highly recommend buying a new unit. But I'm sure lethal performance will have a more definitive answer.Hate to revive and old thread - but had a particular question regarding the Tune Module.
I'm looking to purchase one 2nd hand, but wanted to know how the licensing works. I'm assuming (if already installed on a Bronco previously) that it'll have to be de-activated to free up the licensing key?
Trying not to get burned by buying the Tune and it end up being bricked.
Thanks for the info James!Best case scenario you buy the used procal and Ford loads a new tune for a new vehicle on it for $3-400. Worst case it's not able to be linked to another vehicle at all. Yes. This relates to both 2.3L and 2.7L 2023 model years.does that also apply to the 2.3L?
Woot!Just in from Ford Performance.
"The issue that was affecting 23MY 2.7L Broncos and the FPP Calibration, in early July, has now been resolved."
So for any of you 2023 owners who were experiencing issues with your Procal device and cal should be good to go now.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with in the meantime.
Any update for CA 2022+?Just in from Ford Performance.

Hello @LethalPerformance.Still awaiting CARB approval. Any updates I get I'll be sure to pass them along to you guys.
93 isn't required but recommended to receive the full performance benefits of the cal and the power gains they rate it at. With that said 92 will still provide really good performance from the calibration and you'll also benefit from all of the other features the tune has to offer. (trans tuning, disable auto start/stop, ability to adjust for tire size/gear ratios).Hello @LethalPerformance.
In Washington State, the premium gas that is available is 92 octane. Do you (or anyone else) know whether that is sufficient to get the benefits of the 2.3L performance tune, or is 93 octane required for that?
