Some of you probably already know this but the "points for your troubles" that Ford has been so proud of telling us about are pretty weak.

I got a total of 40,000 points for buying my $70,000 badlands (I am in Canada).

I thought I would be able to buy the mudflaps or something (they are expensive but the truck really needs them, they look like a good design and also designed in Canada)

I come to find out that this big number is worth $200! So they are worth half a cent each.

Wow, thanks Ford.better than nothing I guess?

Yup, new gasoline vehicle purchases gain you 42,000 points. Should equate to be about three works oil changes.

When I first reserved I got a Ford Pass Credit card and started using it for gas and groceries to get the points and off set the accessories or down payment. I am now up to 100,000 points and while its not much it will help with some things I left off my order like door bags, keypad, and maybe a few other small things. I think on its own without the card supplement your looking at a tank or two of gas and a few oil changes.

Don't get too excited, if it's the same in the US, your 100k points is $500, it's something but it won't go far.

I suppose maybe we didn't get the bonus "we're sorry" points for a bronco in Canada. If you get about 40k for a new vehicle there is no "extra" that I have seen.

This would not surprise me at all though.

My current points and Ford still owes me 242,000 when I take delivery.

OK so I have 100,000 or roughly $500 and I am going to get another 40,000 points when I buy or $200. That means I have $700. The door bags are $350, the keypad is $110, and swing gate table is $200. So I can add on a few things I want and don't have to bake that into my loan and I save about $12 a month over 72 months which would have ended up costing me $864 over the life of the loan. I get further then you think with those points just on accessories alone. Or if I can use those towards the down payment even better since it would reduce the total loan amount.

I just had some work done on my F-350. They are supposed to give FordPass Points when you get maintenance done, does anyone know how long it takes to show up?

Yeah, this is what I remember there being this big "thank you" coming for the late delivery etc. My suspicion is that this will not happen in Canada. But universal healthcare is good...

As I recall we get 42K for purchase, 20K for waiting so $310. I think the 200K 'We're sorry' was for mod top folks who wait or switch to MIC/Soft ?

I also got the 242,000 points. 42,000 for the purchase and 200,000 “goodwill points” about a month after the purchase.

Going to make my 2dr twill soft top purchase a lot more affordable.

There are several people who’ve had 200k points dumped in their account, even without being an original mod/dual top person. I’d like to win that game.

I’m one of those people. Though, I did get the email a few months ago saying that I’d receive the 200k points. I think speculation on the board at the time was that the email was sent in error. Perhaps not?
