Interesting choice of dimensions from the tweeted photo. Not "true" full screen but horizontally edge to edge widescreen. Keeping the top and bottom for standard Ford app access.

I don't object to this. Same thing Jeep did with uconnect and keeps buried features at your fingertips. I don't have much need for the side bar.

Curious that it's not Android Auto as well, being the more popular platform.

The wireless Carplay is really bad on my bronco. It cuts off music all the time. They should work on fixing that as well.

Ughhhhh, mine too. It doesn’t cut off all the time, but I’d say it’s really glitchy on all fronts. My balance changes by itself, sometimes only the right speakers work, sometimes only the left. It’s like a game my Bronco likes playing with me. Sometimes it decides it doesn’t want to connect until 15 minutes of driving. Sometimes the volume just decides to go to “11” (yes, that’s a Spinal Tap reference) for no reason. Of course my service center can never replicate it. It’s as if my Bronco only wants it to be our little secret.

Great news. Now if we could get rid of “nanny mode” on CarPlay (limited scrolling) it would be near perfect.

the new android auto Ui update will fix that for us hopefully

Based on the most recent data I just searched, Apple is more popular in the U.S. while Android rules globally. It’s also possible Ford and Apple have an agreement in place to give Apple priority.

In any case this will be welcome if and when it arrives.

Not free but there is a product that you can install that will allow full scrolling in CarPlay when in motion. I have installed it a while back

Yeah. It was a pain to install but it does work as advertised
