Yes, you can. I switch between Built-in Nav and Car Play pretty seamlessly.
Good to know. Synce 3 will disable the factory nav when CarPlay is connected.

The wireless Carplay is really bad on my bronco. It cuts off music all the time. They should work on fixing that as well.
Mine can't figure out if it wants to be bluetooth or connect to the phones wifi network...apparently you cant do both

It's awesome to have Waze on 2/3 of he screen and built in nav on 1/3 of the screen...
that wasn’t really what I was hoping for. Currently on synce 3 with CarPlay and service drops out in the mountains etc I can’t switch over to the factory map without disconnecting CarPlay.

I have no issues with that at all. That might be specific to your settings or an issue with your hardware.

After having recently used GAIA GPS nine days in a row to navigate around various dirt roads and jeep trails in Nevada this would be a welcome change. It would really help see additional areas to explore while in the field while limiting the need to scroll through the topo map on the screen.

Expecting my bronco tomorrow…why is everyone so excited over a car play update? Does it suck for some reason as is?

I’ve used CarPlay in around 100 vehicles. I’m not sure any of them have been 100%
My BMW has 100% full screen. But I also have physical controls in addition to the screen.

Without redundant switches that take you to the Sync Home Screen/apps very easily, I see why Ford placed the carplay in the Sync4 wrapper.
