Getting Wildtrak.. Should I upgrade bumper or wait for after market?

I think the metal bumper looks much better, however, I do plan to add after market stuff on bumper later. Does it matter or make a difference which bumper I have?
Meaning, is it easier to add aftermarket stuff on the metal bumper or does not matter.

I’d wait till the aftermarket starts offering after market BUMPERS. On my JT the steel OEM bumper was an $845 up charge .... I bout a nice Rugged Ridge metal winch capable (with a plate) after market bumper for $400.

So the upgraded bumper For $800 gets you a steal rear bumper as well no? My real concern is bolting on my winch... the modular bumper doesn't allow for a winch without buying some additional part (the bull nose?).

I know that after-market off road bumpers can cost quite a bit, especially if they come already powdercoated.

I'd wait for the aftermarket if I were getting a wildtrak. Mainly because I know ford is going to sell a ton of bumpers, I'd rather stand out in that regard.
I'm getting black diamond but might get rid of the front bumper and get something aftermarket.

I hope Ford keeps the fog light switch and wiring if you order the upgraded bumper. The factory switch and harness is clean and will plug right into aftermarket pods.

What if one of the 200 accessories is a different steel bumper with an integrated winch and fogs .

Something to consider, if your wildtrak has adaptive cruise control then most likely the aftermarket bumper will not accommodate the sensor and so you have to relocate it. Ask me how I know. See below, the ACC sensor use to be in the bumper and I moved it above the "R" and "D" .. It was the worst part of the install and get the angles wrong and the sensor will not work.

And you will most likely need to remove the shutter system as aftermarket bumpers will tuck in closer to the body to provide better approach angles. See below the IC shroud and shutter system has been removed.

Lots of unknowns what the Bronco bumper will require when you remove it for an aftermarket one.

RPG offroad is pretty well known in the Raptor aftermarket .. they have a bumper for the Ranger. I am sure they will make a bumper for the Bronco

I’d wait. When I put a winch on my Badlands it will be on an aftermarket bumper. Hopefully one that the winch can sit inside of instead of on top of the bumper.

I tend to stick with the professional designers rather than thinking I can pick something that looks better.

Most of the aftermarket bumpers that people put on Jeeps look terrible...in my opinion.
