I know that the change is slight at this point, but ANY reduction in Bronco sale/resale prices HAS to be a move in the right direction, right? Unfortunately, I spend WAY too much of my free time on Bronco related topics: Bronco6G Forum, Used car apps for pricing, Youtube videos, etc. My point is this: I have noticed recently that one specific resale website has the closest build to my order for $7K over my purchase price. Most sites have prices set at ridiculously high levels, $10K over MSRP on average and many even higher. I realize that another nationwide resale site currently has zero Broncos for sale, but I am cautiously optimistic that this is the beginning of the end of ADM/premium pricing.
For sure, this process will be slow to make its way throughout the entire system, effecting the "stealerships" last. Another reason is that my local stealership currently has 3 on the lot. The original mannequin is +$20K ADM and other 2 are +$15K ADM. This mannequin has been available for purchase since January. It has been 4 months on the lot so far without being sold. Hopefully, supply is beginning to catch up with ADM demand. Between the stealership's "Market Adjustment Pricing" and owners flipping for the resale premium, we should start seeing a decrease due to the higher monthly production numbers coming off the assembly line each month. The order banks being closed is working in our favor as well.
What positive price movement have you noticed in your local market so far? I believe we can all use some encouragement at this point.

I guess I just don't care what someone is asking to sell a vehicle for and also what someone decides to spend their money on.

I'm sure most people here also see Facebook marketplace ads with used diesels with 150k miles for $30k + and no one really cares about that.

The market will always take care of itself IMO.

I was actually surprised that my local dealer (Darling's Bangor Ford) is advertising several 2dr and 4dr models at MSRP...WTs, BLs, OBs, Base. Mind you they are all "on order" or "in transit" with no delivery timeframe noted.

It's called "Bait and switch"
Fully aware of the bait & switch tactic. Family has been dealing with Darling's dealerships for a couple generations...have never had any funny business or sleezy tactics...always up front and fair. Not all dealers are equal.

Some states have requirements that all vehicles going through their dealership are listed online. So the ones you are seeing are likely ALL orders that belong to someone. It isn't a shady thing - it is just required.

Good lord, it was just a joke, relax.

You're the one who brought it up. You mentioned no prior relationship with the dearler, you just said "my local dealer" in your original post.

I think your two posts make it clear you understand "bait and swtich".

Lol.

If you have such a great relationship with your great dealer from decades of great experience with them, if you are surprised then go ask them why they are advertising several Bronos at MSRP that are not available for sale?

We'd all like to know! Serious response.
So I called my friend at the dealer, confirmed 4 of the 6 advertised at MSRP have not yet been spoken for and their OB Squatch mannequin is also available. 2 of the 4 that are available are cancelled orders. That serious enough for ya?

Lowering of adm or resell market value is a BAD thing, unless you don’t have a bronco on order and can’t find a “deal”. At some point all of us will resell a bronco and we want it to be as desirable and in limited supply as possible for higher value. If the value is dropping but the supply hasn’t gone up, that would definitely be a bad thing.

I'm hoping the same fools who way overpaid for a regular Bronco start selling them to way overpay for Bronco Raptor. A Bronco should depreciate similar to a Jeep once production catches up.

We should also realize that dealers WANT FOOT TRAFFIC!! They may be overpricing or refusing to sell a particularly awesome Bronco because they want eyeballs on it. Even here in SoCal - with tons of people, tons of dealerships and tons of money I am still being stopped nearly daily by folks saying they don't see Broncos and haven't seen one in person, etc. That fervor continues and dealerships are not stupid for wanting to get people on-site and potentially sell them a used Kia or whatever in the interim...

No, still some missing details.

If some or all of the Broncos are not yet available for delivery, is it expected an interested buyer can purchase one of the units sight unseen since there is a VIN, indicating it is a legal tangible vehicle? Or does the prospective buyer just have to put down some type of suriety to be attached to the VIN. Does that mean they have to buy the Bronco when it comes in? And are there terms regarding delivery dates? Terms for financing eligibility?

I'm just curious how it works. These are questions I would ask of the Dealer if I was interested in purchasing one of the Broncos.
Called my buddy back for more info...point is moot now, as of 1:25pm EST the four trucks that were available this morning are now spoken for.

2-units are customer orders spoken for w/ build dates so these are not technically available.

2-units were customer orders w/ build dates that backed out, these were up for grabs first come-first serve...put down deposit and wait for VIN/delivery.

2-units were dealer orders w/o VIN/build dates that were up for grabs...put down a deposit to reserve.

Concerning deposit...in my case, along with a signed sales agreement, they requested a $1k refundable deposit and I could have backed-out at any time. Have heard horror stories of some dealers requiring sizeable non-refundable deposits which makes it hard to back-out.

No terms regarding delivery dates...they are just as much in the dark as the rest of us in most cases.

Concerning financing eligibility, in my case I had financing pre-approved through my credit union before I sat down at the dealer. When it came time to purchase the dealer ran a credit check and actually got me a better interest rate by about 2%.

I think once the initial push is done, everything will even out. If you are a member of “Tread Lightly” and buying a Wrangler, you are guaranteed 1% below dealer invoice. Hopefully @ford_motor_company catches onto the same deal.

Unfortunately I think Ford wants to forge their own way on many things instead of taking parts and pieces of sales, lifestyle, etc.., that has been extremely successful for the Wrangler and 4Runner.
