So I'm 5 months on the dirt now, with a 21 to be delivered... For St. Patty's? Or is that too optimistic?

It seems that more recent orders are being built and delivered.... Mine will be at least 6 mos old, with the issues of the 21's that will hopefully be fixed for 22.

Do I let my dealer have the 21 and order a 22? Same equipment and price and maybe only a few months longer?

On the ledge,
Jeff

Tough choice on that timeline to a 22 being quick or not... I don't envy your predicament

Tough choice. I took delivery last week of my Bronco and was ticked off I was getting a 2021 at the end of December. However, I was not willing to wait and “it is what it is.”

Getting a 2021 that late… if you don’t need a vehicle ASAP and you’re somewhat comfortable on the new timeline (which frankly, is anyones guess…) then I’d be waiting. Also, the longer you wait the less issues you should see too.

Alternatively, you buy the Bronco when it arrives, place a new order, and trade it in/sell it off when the 2022 arrives. Seen a few folks do that.

Theres no wrong choice here.

Whatever you do, I wouldn’t let your dealer have it. Dealers are selling them for $10k-$25k over list as stock units all over the place. Modded out Broncos are bringing $90k-$150k in online auctions. If you decide not to keep it, sell it yourself and pocket the additional $10k-$20k so you can use it to mod your next one.

I am considering changing my order right now to get one sooner and simultaneously placing a second order for what I really want. Run the first until the second comes in and then sell it. Just my .02

Bunch of dumb, drunk tourists from America on Spring Break in Dublin for St Patrick’s Day kept ordering Irish Car Bombs in the Temple Bar District. Needless to say the Bartenders weren’t very happy about it…

What’s the build? Why not order another one and take which comes first?

Dump it, let it go or flip it. Order a new one and wait, you don't want a lot queen that has sat for so long that Ford has no idea how to fix it. Face it, if they were short a part or two, they would have arrived and been installed by now.

I suspect they had such a massive QC screw-up, on a bunch of them, they may have been damaged beyond repair and/or received a half-assed fix.
