How are other dog owners doing with their 2-door Bronco?

I built a wooden platform to level the cargo area. My boy can fit half his body out between the seats and the B pillar. Scratches to the tops of the door were inevitable. Just let it happen and get it out of the way early. Once your Bronco isn't perfect you can enjoy it more.

Also, I leave the back hatch open from time to time. Can't speak to the risks of that but it works for us.

2 door is the perfect fit for 2 dogs. Cruised Woodward with them last week and had no problem!

I ripped out the rear seats and modified the 4 door cargo liner from @Dirtydog for my purposes.

It works and is plenty of space, but the issue is letting them blow their ears. I’m looking at either Velox gullwings with this, a custom RV style sliding glass, or hopefully a company comes out with a hardtop that has removable/sliding glass.

Hi all,

I just bought my first new car - a 2023 2 door BD m/t. Love it.

New issue, my 2008 Escape worked great for camping with my Germán shepherd. How are other dog owners doing with their two doors?

I hate how he can't put his head out the window anymore. Has anyone installed a sliding window on their hard tops? Someone recommended just leaving the rear glass open and letting the dog stick his head out that way.

So if that's the case, now I want to protect the top edge of the tailgate. Suggestions? Clear/black vinyl?

I have had no issues with mine but mine doodle will only ride in the front seat and sits like a human.

Boy goes nuts when i start the bronco and runs straight to the back and up he goes with pure joy.

What did you have to do in terms of modifying the cargo liner?

Two dogs for me. One 65 lbs and one 85 lbs. I just keep the back seats down and have the mabett back of seat mats which work well. If going down the road I keep the back glass up and if into town with good weather I will pull off the front roof panels and put the back glass down.

I considered doing the rear seat delete as it's just me and my wife 98% of the time but decided against it to see how much I would use the rear seats over the first year of ownership.
