I don't understand what blend date means. I have a 4 digit order number, a dealer order date and a build date. What's a blend? I've put my money down and am waiting like everyone else....

Hello!
Welcome. Blend date can be found on the window sticker, very top near the middle. I’d take a snap but my phone is acting funny right now. Blend date is the expected day your bronco will be built.

The blend date is when all of the parts are "blended" together to start making the vehicle and the build date is when it's complete

That's it.(y)

Welcome to the forum OP. Also don't worry, every thing about this Bronco roll out has me dazed, and confused about 90% of the time. :)

So if "blend" equals "production in work", why not say that, instead of applying a non-intuitive word?

If you have a blend date, start doing the happy dance, you're almost there.

Because non freaks don’t care? This is internal stuff I’m sure. Makes sense to those building the vehicles.

Artificial obfuscation benefits corporations (or anyone really) that want to appear transparent, while divulging as little information as possible.

Industry jargon. I'm sure they could have give us a translation guide, but I think they need to focus all efforts on getting us our Broncos. Plus, when was the last time you cared about the blend date of a vehicle you've purchased?

Or maybe "WIP date" (*Work in process)?

Meh. It's the words they know inside the walls where the magic happens.

They can call it schmegma if they wanna, as long as it happens and the mystical events go smoothly.
