Only operate when charging. You won't hear the noise during driving. It's hard to say if you have a leather pad over it. We don't test this situation.

Are the fans intended to keep the phone cool or the charging pad? I never understood why the OEM charger in the bronco causes my phone to overheat while charging pads in other vehicles have no issue. I always assumed it was a difference in charging rate.

Speaking of that how does this compare to the charging rate of the OEM?
