Being able to find information for yourself instead of expecting to be given it by others is a very critical skill. Not only in life, but for vehicle modification and maintenance.

true, but searching through tons of posts of speculation, theory, misinformation, and debating the unknown does take a lot of time....just search for the difference in suspension between Badlands and Squatch and 5 hours of you life will pass by and you still won’t know....

ask about suspension and 5-10 people will chime in with the latest thoughts/speculation and save you said 5 hours. Now I get it, it’s annoying when the thread is about something totally unrelated and it gets hijacked for 5 pages...

Your argument would hold weight......

If magically you made this thread different than all thr others by starting with accurate and detailed info. Instead it was started, once again, on a question with zero research behind it.

Soooooooooo, same same. And this is about the 8th different thread of the same thing.

Now, why not bump up an old thread with actual info? No. That would take work.

Or have all the detailed info and start a technical thread? No. That would take a time machine into the near future to have a Bronco and do the comparison.

Pretty standard for a group of new people to sign up now that B&P is live and their hopes of having a Bronco are closer to reality.
From the point B&P went live for Ranger, to when individuals took delivery, there were a LOT of new users signing up! Don't have any formal statistics from that forum, but it seemed like the user count tripled within 4 months.

One thing they didn't do which I sure hope the moderators do on here, is requiring new users to understand the search function and have moderators take peoples threads down and give them a canned private message something along the lines of "Your question has been answered multiple times, please use the search function".

Oh soooooooooo many triplicated threads or observations all getting their own new threads all at once. It essentially handcuffed the forum for a few months and resulted in quite a few veteran forum members leaving. That's also when my identical cousin, Rick Astley, was banned for telling people to use the search function. Apparently the common practice there is to discourage use of the search function by banning users who reference that feature of the forum instead of educating the raft of new users which are now coming on line.... Or will be making their account once they make an order or take delivery of their new Bronco..... (Hint, hint, moderators! There are boatloads of new users queued up and ready to join, now is the time to have your policies in place for when they land on these here digital shores)

Why aren't you a mod yet?
Do we need to do a change.org petition to Doug?
Do we need a petition thread?
Do we need to #turtles to get it noticed so this is considered?

In all seriousness, you have tools in your wheelhouse and a way of speaking that I personally feel would work well for a mod.
Unlike 95% on here, you don't pop on, spew your unsubstantiated "facts" and sit back to watch the chair throwing contest that ensues.
When you do offer data, I have yet to find it untrue, and it's usually stated in a way that explains most of it in context pretty well.

The moderators on here do an amazing and thankless job! Seriously, just look at their W-2's, they deserve more than that!

I'm just as full of S as everybody else on here. Once people have their Bronco's and the folks with experience off-road chime in and provide feedback then i'll be just as wide-eyed and asking dumb questions!

Being a shade-tree mechanic (and not a terribly good one at that) doesn't help much. Too much time spent researching issues on classic cars and how to fix them myself is self-learning. And an invaluable skill that should be encouraged more on this here young forum! Then once you can learn and command some abilities with the Bronco post it up and help others learn from that experience!

Anyone notice these posts from members with recent forum join dates? There was the random WT pic yesterday from a member that joined the same day. Only one pic from the factory parking lot that prompted a bunch of comments about the fender and mirror colors. And this morning, a rando with a join date of today jumped on the B&P is down thread with some comments about how they hope a revamp will solidify orders. Definitely too positive for this group. I think we are being trolled by Ford. Maybe they are listening and making some changes. If big brother is listening, option a black MGV interior on the WT to “solidify my order.”

No. And honestly I cant figure out why people keep saying this. They did not have the production line in place to even do this so there is no way. But they could offer different interior options for different trims.
