I know in some vehicles they use the audio system to simulate engine noises. While others have an actual physical tunnel from the engine bay into the cabin. Does the bronco have this "feature" ? Some times, when I quickly accelerate the V6 ,it seems to me that it does .

When the first reviews came out, they said that engine/exhaust sounds are played through the speakers.

Confirmed on the baby bronco. I don't think on the real ones. Turn off radio and you won't notice.

Piped in from speakers. Most if not all Ford vehicles have it.

There absolutely is fake engine noise played in the cabin. Turning off the radio won’t turn it off, as the head unit power has nothing to do with the speaker power.

I don’t understand the issue here, however. My Focus RS does the same, and when you unplug the unit that controls the sound output to disable the sound, you could barely hear the stock exhaust note to give you an indication it’s time to shift. If you want a silent cabin, sure I could see the value in disabling it. Other than that, embrace the noise.

I had read somewhere the speakers pipe in engine sounds only when in sport mode. Can anyone confirm?

On lux models it is in the DSC as part of ANC (active noise cancelation) but also part of the software. There are two places in FORScan to disable it.

Use Brave browser, I get none of what you are experiencing.

Reviving an old thread here.

Can I leave ANC enabled and just disable Engine Sound? That is, only do the ACM change and not the DSP change? I'm thinking ANC would help for a quieter cabin.

sport mode def has a change in engine sound. I assumed it was fake since I don’t believe there is an active exhaust.

Im not sure why anyone would want to hear a V6 or a 4 banger.
