Is it normal for a dealer to just start ignoring emails?

That sounds about right. My one salesman did the same thing, he won’t return texts or phone calls. I’ll just get a new salesman next time I visit the dealership.
With how low inventory is, i’m not surprised if the salesman is no longer employed.

My guess is, he got tired of you changing your mind every 5 seconds. Assuming that's what you were doing.
If it were me, I'd either stop in there and raise hell, or make a phone call and raise hell. Because (like stated) he either got canned/moved somewhere, or he's just a dick!
If you have been emailing them daily or multiple times daily, yeah I could see a dealer or sales person stop replying.
Since learning I have a vin I have emailed my contact once a week asking for any updates and with any questions I may have after reading posts from here the previous week and they have been kind enough to reply each time.

If you were annoying him over and over again then I understand him not responding. Just because they are your salesman for the bronco doesn't give people the right to annoy the hell out of them. Hell, that goes for any job. If you were not annoying then he either moved on or is a complete dick. If you were annoying, well that's on you. If you were not annoying then go in and talk to him face to face or talk to someone else at the dealership.
