Are they still only keeping the stick with the smaller engine choice?

My question is, do automatics get faster build dates than manuals?

I don't believe that either are a constraint for buildability or would improve your odds of getting built quicker.

Dude, you're 50 (I'm close to it), do you really want to be pushing in that clutch pedal thousands of times a month with a SEVEN (6) speed transmission? I have a bad knee from the Army so it's a no brainer for me. But just saying clutching a 7 (6) speed is going to wear out that knee joint man. Sad but true. Hear me now believe me later. I got a 3 speed CJ7 in the stable and it's a lot of work, I can't imagine a 6 speed. You'll thank me in a few years.

I test drove a mannequin with the 7/6spd. It's honestly a pretty light clutch especially compared to other cars I've had.

I hope thatā€™s a joke. If not, see a doctor.

I know this was directed to someone else, but...

Yes. Yes I do. 100% yes. If the Bronco didn't offer a manual transmission I wouldn't be buying one, simple as that. I'm in my 50s, by the way.

I'm in the same boat. I've gone through 6 cars in the last 5 years because i kept buying automatics, and i realized that they were too boring for me. I know this isn't a sports car, but i like feeling connected to the vehicle i'm driving. The main reason i considered a bronco is because they offered a manual.

Itā€™s the primary reason I bought it. An auto would have been a deal breaker.

I wouldn't even consider a Bronco if it wasn't for the 2-door manual. A rare beast.

I wanted the 2.7L because bigger, and auto is easier and smoother off road, besides, I have three other vehicles with manual transmissions so if I want to shift gears I will take one of them for a spin.

Donā€™t overlook the fun factor of a possible dropped valve and blown engine with the auto. :p

But seriously, itā€™s a very personal decision. In my case, if I had a stop-and-go traffic commute I would never consider a manual. But as it is, I work from home and my FJ (Iā€™m out of the queue for a Bronco) is a manual and I love it. But there are a number of compelling benefits to an auto for serious off-roadingā€¦ especially on the Bronco with turn assist and one pedalā€¦ itā€™s just much easier to control speed on tough obstacles with an auto. But the crawler gear on the MT is very appealing. Tough call.
