Are we really talking about gas savings and the best MPGs on an expensive, small, off road SUV with 35" tires.....sorry its just hilarious to me.

What is your point? I’m not calling 911 but that doesn’t change the fact that it is against the law and every year is condoned by the police because they have excess amounts of stolen cars due to people leaving them running unattended.

Don’t come crying to me if your brand new Bronco gets stolen because I’ll be laughing at you too hard.

This is my dilemma, if things go over $50k, then the Lexus GX becomes a much nicer ride with much higher quality throughout. Granted it is a little dated on design, but it is still a body on frame 4wd with a V8 and excellent pedigree. Form over function leans Bronco, otherwise it is GX. Like 90% of buyers, I will not be beltline deep in mud or rocks, so off-road chops don't matter that much. Build and price will probably make my mind up.
Build/price and actual delivery date will make up my mind.

Meh, the clearances they run in modern motors there's no advantage to letting them sit there and idle. You'll get heat much faster getting in and driving after a 30 second to a minute warm up (whatever length of time it takes for the idle to drop to its normal operating range). You're just wasting gas otherwise. Not to mention you've now got a warmed up motor turning components farther down the driveline that are still ice cold. I didn't do it before I had remote start and I don't do it now that I do. I think it's a useless feature.
I found it useful at -20 when I lived in the north country. Also nice at 110 now that I live in West Texas.

My car sits for 5 days at a time a lot of times during the week. I usually remote start it and let it idle for 2-3 minutes before i get in. I used to work construction and leave at 4am. Remote start on my Camaro was amazing because I could start it 6 minutes before I went out to leave and it would be warm and ready to go when it was 10 degrees outside. So nice.

I have a work van now and I switched companies and went from brand new with remote start and heated mirrors to 12 years old with no remote starT and no heated mirrors. Now I have to freeze while it warms up and dump hot water on my mirrors when they’re frozen over. I definitely prefer the latter ?

I mean no offense to you, but I can't help chuckling that we're at a place where fifty-one thousand dollars is keeping price down.

Haha no kidding.

It's crazy how fast the price climbs up.

I realize that the Bronco is more of a "specialized" vehicle, and more of a "fun" truck, but damn.

I want to keep it around 40k and I think I'll be at about 5k over that.

What's illegal? Manually starting your car? lol
Leaving it running unattended. I recall a story where Police were ticketing people for doing this and it caused a big uproar. That was quite a while ago. These days with remote start, someone can't drive away without the fob, so may not be as big an issue anymore.

I never knew people did that until I went out of state. Do that in California and your car will be stolen

Here are my preferred 4dr builds. Leaning towards #2 in Cactus Grey. #3 gets the color I want most, but adds about $2500 for stuff I don't need. Both these get me rear diff lockers which is plenty off-road kit for me. If decide on the loud, slower, worse braking Squatch, I can have it for under $41k too.
