If you want a hardtop Bronco Lincoln, you'd want a Ford Everest turned into a Lincoln

Yep, with Aviator styling.
Then I could chop it up to fit 37's on Dana Ultimate axles for the Bronco.

After having my Bronco, I'm not sure I could give up the convertible or retro styling.

I've had my Bronco for over a year now and all of my pre-purchase desires for quiet and luxury have faded. I barely even notice the cheap hard plastic that is scratched to hell in the cargo area.
Especially when you can drop the top at a stoplight.

Also, I like the new Everest front end. Ford should just sell that here to compete with the 4Runner for people who don't want a convertible. Put the Badlands 33's and front and rear lockers in a Tremor package and I think they could grab some sales from Toyota.

My wife would be driving this tomorrow if it was an option in the states.

People freaking out about the idea of this don't realize that this is regularly done. In fact, Bronco is based on the Ranger platform. I, being a former Lincoln owner, would LOVE to see a Bronco based Lincoln product.

The correct answer is what @Sherminiator said. If Ford decides Lincoln needs another SUV instead of a crossover the answer should be the Everest. It would have to be doors on, fixed roof in order to meet the lux standards for Lincoln.

The big issue is that I don't see this happening anytime soon-given the pivot to BEVs in higher end Luxury cars, adding a Lincoln Bronco would make no sense, nor would it mesh with its "quiet luxury" marketing it has. We aren't going to see a BEV Bronco till 2030 anyways. MAP will be maxed out with Bronco and 2024 Ranger production for the foreseeable future.

The best use case would be a Bronco Platinum model with a better interior materials and seats.

But why? To placate consumers who are already buying a Bronco?

Ford has no incentive for changing the Bronco. They literally can’t build the current design fast enough.

With a 2 year waiting list, dealers can’t keep them on the lots and selling them for over MSRP. Ford can raise prices and still sell every Bronco built.

You’ll need to wait 5-10 years for BG7

For profit margin. A new grill and badging ($50 in parts), with a $15k upcharge. Look at what Ford did with the Wildtrak, with $20 worth of gloss paint and a decal.

They could add $10K - $15K to current models and still sell everything

I guess you never heard of the issues it had?!

https://www.motortrend.com/features/ford-bronco-ii-history-epic-disaster/

The Explorer inherited these problems until it was completely redesigned in 2002 and was a major reason it had issues with Firestone tires and them being under inflated.

The Escape is being slated as a more car like product (esp with the 2023MY) vs the Bronco Sport, which appeals to your more SUV/Squared out styling buyer.

Hey now! Fords exploding is a long honoured tradition 🤣

What are you talking about?

Some history

First Gen Bronco-bespoke platform-more or less design principle for the current Bronco

Bronco II-Ranger Platform, added another two doors in 1989 and became the Explorer. Explorer went FWD in 2010 then went to its own RWD platform in 2020, i'm guessing this what you thinking.

Full sized Bronco-Based on the F-100 then F-150 platform. Added another two doors in 1994 I want to say (maybe 1996) and became the Expedition.

IMO the FSB and Bronco II really have nothing in common with the new Bronco outside of the name. They weren't really marketed as off roaders from what I can recall and where more or less an F-150 or Ranger with a cap on them.
Did you just make this up as you went along? Almost nothing in this post is acccurate

Lincoln, time for "loud luxury." ;) Fair point though. A Bronco Platinum would make more sense. The Lincoln fan in me still would love to see them create such an abomination just for the cool factor - WITH the removal doors and top (checkmate, G Wagon). If Lincoln has the effort to make 30-way seats, I'm sure they could figure out a way to sound deaden the top just enough for their "quiet luxury" motto. But would I leave my Bronco for such a vehicle? Never.
