Hi! Yup, this is the second bronco I’ve had with this problem. It’s at the shop for three days, now, waiting for parts. I’m not sure when I’m getting it back.😢

Brand new 23 WT with 60 miles on it. Had a good rain last night. I was at a buddy’s house for a couple of hours and came out to this-

going to take off panels today, inspect and reinstall. Hopefully I’ll get lucky and it just needs to be re-seated.

When I picked my Bronco up last weekend, it was durrong a rain storm. I was already in a disappointed state, 99% sure it was going to be leaking... but nothing as far as I can tell.

I even power washed it yesterday (although I didn't focus on the top).

I don't lnow if it is a fluke or not, but I'm afraid to remove my tops until summer :)

Side note: I noticed that they are now putting a thinner version of felt by the latches to cover everything up instead of just leaving it raw MIC in those spots. Is that the same for everyone?

Is it a soft top or hard?

I’m having the same issue. Picked mine up last week ‘23 BadSquatch hard top. Leaking water on the passenger side. Dealer can’t replicate. Now it’s just sitting in their parking lot. Frustrating. Not even 80 miles on it.

If you’re looking for the TSB, I posted it on the first page of this thread. It fixed my hardtop leaks and for the most part my Bestop sundrider (only minor issue continuing on the passenger side side when going through high pressure car wash). I think on the Sunrider the latch area isn’t tight enough.

So my 23 WT leaked in a good steady rain a few nights ago. I wanted to see where the intrusion was occurring so I went through a high pressure car wash yesterday (towels ready). Didn’t leak a drop! Maybe it only leaks if the water pools up on the top or in the crevices? Going to keep an eye on it some more and see what happens.

Mine's a hard top, and chances are maybe I just have lucked out so far. They'll be a couple more good rain storms and I'll see for sure.

It's ridiculous that we have to worry about it, it seems to be a flip of a coin as to whether your hardtop leaks or not.

I've been through storms, and pressure wash the hell out of my jeep hard top and dry as could be.

I had the exact same leak the other day after going through a touchless car wash. I drove through some heavy rains an no leaks. I have a feeling the cause was due to the high water pressure of the car wash. This is the first leak I've experienced.

for those of you with this issue, has anyone else noticed that water also is getting in behind the kick panels? When I replaced my kick panel speakers, the area behind the speakers was wet and it hadn't rained in days. I'm concerned about long term rust, but don't want to remove my speakers periodically to check.

Mines back at the dealer. They are telling me that the screws that hold the molding cannot be tightened to 26 inch lbs without stripping and this is leaving a gap. They are waiting for tech support to get back to them.

On a side note, I’m dropping off my expedition due to oil dripping from the drivers side front wheel area.

So, both Fords at the dealership for the weekend.

@Ford Motor Company, If water is leaking and freezes in the a pillar, that can’t possibly be good especially if it impacts the air bag should it be deployed. That could be quite dangerous.

TLDR: TSB done twice and water still leaking from the driver’s side A pillar. Actually worse now than after the initial TSB fix. No fix in site and no response from Ford.

This second go round, my bronco was at the dealership for 3 weeks, yes 21 days. The water leak specialist diagnosed that there was still a water leak prior to the visit and we waited for the parts to arrive that were on back order to do the TSB again.

It took a couple of days to get to my bronco, but I was told that the bolts securing the header to the body were loose. So, upon going through the TSB process with the new parts, they found that they could not tighten the bolts to the specifications (25 lb-in) using the bolts (plastic) supplied. They reached out to Ford and were told these were the correct parts, but when torqued to the spec, they stripped out. New parts were ordered from Ford after some discussion, but in essence the same plastic bolts arrived. I’m told there was some back and forth with the Ford rep without resolution.

I was tired of having my Bronco sit outside in the dealership parking lot (under a covering of course), so they did the TSB the best they could and it is now home with me with more leaking from the A-pillar than before. I’m told that they will let me know if they get an answer from Ford, but given my experience with Ford so far regarding this issue, I’m not optimistic.

I’ve called Ford, opened a case, but haven’t received any follow up despite emails and voicemails to the rep. I’ve DM‘d via twitter to be told someone will get back to me without contact.

It is below freezing at night, so does the water in the A-pillar freeze and expand at night causing damage to the air bag or anything else in the A-pillar. I’m not sure, but water in the pillar and behind the dash on to the floor doesn’t sound ideal. If the airbag deploys while frozen, I suspect that would cause significant harm to the driver.

Mine leaks on the pax side piller, had water on the defrost vent, after reading other posts it may have dripped from the airbag. Also leaks in the back. Have only had it 2 wks on Friday.
Ditto here too….passenger side leak near A pillar. Had my Bronco for three weeks now.
