It's mick, because of the i sound "in" makes.
But what about my accent? That's gotta count for something. I refuse to be wrong or outnumbered because of my upbringing and culture. I will not be bullied.

I say mike, but because it looks like the micrphone abbreviation as others have said.

As an aside , and if you’re in the project business, how do you say capex? Is it
cap - ex or
cape - ex?

By association, how about opex?

Generally I defer to the professionals who devised the term and its pronunciation. But I'm glad you're comfortable with being wrong. (y)
Professionals? Have you seen some of these mick tops? I will defer to the other pronunciation based on a clearly deficient design.
