Michigan Assembly Plant - Two Week Shutdown (May 17 and 24)

My Bronco is going to become one of those things I ordered online, it had to ship from BFE and doesn't show up for 4-5 weeks. When it does finally show up I'll be surprised, excited that I forgot I ordered something haha

So much for those that said the Bronco used different chips...but never showed where they got that information except from someone else that said it previously...who was quoting a blog that got the information from a post on here. Let's just hope this is truly temporary bit I worry they are shutting it down vs building and parking to wait for chips.

Anyone holding the breath for the Bronco will be room temp before they get it. They are still on page one of delay excuses. Thinking there will be many recalls for the 21's. I'll order mine when they are sitting on the lots with factory rebates.

This will not be the only interruption - expect a few more. Full supply recovery will not take place until 2022 with some spill over into 2023. And it’s not just ICs that are putting a drag on supply chains.

My advice is to find some other obsession for the next 6 months and check back in around November for an update.

Isn't surprising, it is depressing though. For my store Ford is scheduling zero units for the next two weeks of any model line, that's crazy land. Also I will say I think this was accounted for as 12 of our broncos that were supposed to schedule 2 weeks ago didn't get selected at all, so someone knew something. I'd hold on to hope if you received a build date last month.

I'm not worried based on the numbers or even the fact it's 2 weeks. My worry is now the Bronco shows it can be effected by the chip shortage. Question is, the previous slow downs and stoppages, have they resumed operation? If not, then 2 weeks is just for appearances and could be worse...
