Model Name on Vehicle Title

I paid off my Bronco last month and received the title yesterday from the state.

Noticed that under model it says “Bronco Base.” I checked my original purchase paperwork and it says the same, ”Bronco Base.” I have a Badlands. The VIN on the title matches the VIN on the Bronco.

Questions:

1. If you have a Badlands, what does your model say on your paperwork?
2. Does one of the digits in the VIN indicate the sub-model?
3. Will the mismatch between the paperwork and reality cause an issue if I sell it?
4. Is there any way to get this corrected?

not sure if my title says Badlands or not as I did not check when it came in. When I registered mine in '23 they did not have all the trims in the system yet so they did put down Base on that paperwork.

Same as my insurance. State Farm called it a bronco sport for over a year. All the girl could say was, “that’s just how it comes up by VIN”.

Probably not.

Said this in the post @Ducati1098 linked, but from the perspective of the VIN system there is only four configurations for the early model years:

1. 4x4 3-door
2. 4x4 5-door
3. AWD 3-door
4. AWD 5-door

And in Idaho it's a "Ford Truck Bronco".

I also have a "Ford Truck Escape", which doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

I own a Wildtrak, and on my Certificate of Title, issued in California, it only says 2023 Ford. Under type of vehicle, UT is listed (Utility).

I forget what Registration says, but Geico has it insured as a regular Bronco without a model attached to it.

I wonder if this matters if you total it and insurance are low balling the ACV of the vehicle pay out because of it?

That makes no sense. When a vehicle is totalled, the insurance adjuster has to look at the remains and that is when they determine what the payout is going to be. And you don't have to accept their price if you can prove that it's worth more. I've been through that procedure several (too many) times.
