I am from Springfield, Illinois. Quite a few places to get the horseshoe...only a few "proper" ones.
used to get mine at Red Coach Inn...now get at D'Arcy's when I am down there, but when back in Taylorville, Bill's Toasty Shop is the place. As for pork tenderloins, hit up Schooners in Bloomington, IL...they are as big as the plate and come with 4 buns.

You should see the salespeople's face when I show up for a test drive, I bring my own pressure gauge and drop the pressure to the correct one, either the factory sticker or what I would intend to run if I purchase the vehicle.

I've never found a vehicle with the pressure set correctly, factory and the dealers are shooting themselves in the foot as they never take the time to set it, PDI, or not. How many lost sales have the had because people did not like the ride?

That's a good idea my friend. I carry a gauge in all of my cars, but it's never dawned on me to do that. The correct psi makes a world of difference in the ride/drive of a vehicle.

My man. Red Coach was always my favorite, I didn't think anybody would remember them. I still eat crackers with butter because of that place. lol. Bills Toasty...I have spent a few hours at the counter in there. lol. I grew up in between Taylorville and Springfield. Never been to Schooners. My go-to is Avantis for the Gondola when I pass through town.

I think I put on 10 pounds just reading and commenting on this thread. LOL.

Like everyone else, I want to know the difference between the actual sticker and final paid price.

Useless? That's okay if you think so, but I beg to differ. I'm turning 56 Friday (also my MY21 blend date!) and I've seen how the American waistline has steadily grown the last 4 decades so that over a 1/3 of the U.S. is obese and another 1/3 is overweight. Obesity related illness kills more than Covid did in 2020 every year, but crickets from the media and politicians. We need sick people to fuel the pharma and medical sectors. I run 10 miles every other day, also work out and eat healthy. I've influenced many people over the years to exercise and take care of themselves. If just one person here thinks for more than 2 seconds about my comment and it has some effect, than my comment is worthwhile. Unfortunately, attitudes like yours is why this country is full of pill popping, unhealthy and overweight people. So, if someone decides to post photos of giant, deep fried pork sandwiches w/fries on a Bronco forum, it's equally acceptable to post my comment. Here's to your health! :)
This isn't a place to have a political conversation, save that for DMs. His post was relevant because he was talking about the entire Granger experience. We have alot of reservation holders who are making a road trip out of picking up their Granger Bronco, so the OP wanted to give people ideas of what to do/eat/see around there.

I've said my piece, you've said yours, we'll agree to disagree in the interest of not completely hijacking his thread. If you want to talk further, send me a DM.

Beautiful Bronco! But, regarding the photo of your lunch there, damn! That kind of diet is why there is an epidemic of diabetes and heart disease in this country.

Steven's not wrong, but this might have fallen into the "if you dont have something nice to say..." column. To be sure, I'm a big guy with a less than stellar diet, but to each their own. It's not all disaster all the time, I had a great salad for lunch today :)

But on the flip side, if I kick the bucket soon, one of you lucky people can pick up my ride with no ADM! /s

I think all of us here like things in excess, or else we would all drive a Prius.

If you set your expectations for a Wrangler killer, you will be very, very happy.
if you go in expecting a Cadillac, you are going to be let down by some things like hard plastics, radio sound quality, and a ride quality that is more bouncy than you might like. But if you know what you are getting into, I don't think there is anyway to be disappointed. Its a beast, its the Beast.
Can you explain what you mean about the radio quality? I know this isn't supposed to be a Cadillac, but I'm expecting a good show while blasting around with the top off. How disappointed am I going to be?

Also, can you confirm if there are cup holders in the second row?

Sorry for interrupting the conversation about diets and European superiority, but I am here for the important questions.

Abe,
A great post and the best thread I have seen on this site. My wife and I also ordered from Granger and am someday (22/23?) looking forward to the drive home to Florida.
“I did have a test today. That wasn’t bullsh*t. It’s on European socialism. I mean, really, what’s the point? I’m not European. I don’t plan on being European, So who gives a crap If they’re socialists? They could be fascist anarchists – that still wouldn’t change the fact that I don’t own a car.”
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw AbeFroman drive his new Bronco from Granger to Chicago.

By the way AbeFroman, thanks for sharing all the info!

my family thinks I am weird for putting butter on my crackers...you may recall a woman behind the counter at Bills, I think named Elsa or some name starting with an E, whose mole on her face looked like it would fall off into the fryer...I always checked to make sure it was still there before digging into fried mushrooms. Gondola was a regular when visiting friends a ISU.

Already have a plan in mind, going to take US 30 to help break it in. Along the way, stopping at Clinton to go to Stout's Pub for their pork tenderloin sandwich. Unless anyone says otherwise??

Regarding the radio, it's very source dependant. When I first heard it, I was wondering what all the complaining was about. That was when listening to Spotify from my iPhone. Later in the drive I switched to Sirius which I thought sounded a lot worse. It's not awful, it's just less than I was hoping for with the "B&O" system. I know thats marketing BS, but I was hoping it would be a little better. Since most of my listening is through my phone, in that regard it was more than fine. It also can get quite loud.

On the cup holders, there are 2 in the fold down armrest (I dont think all trims have this), but I don't see any others, not counting net door pockets. Might be able to fit a 20oz bottle there

Dan, I think the problem with Sirius radio is on their end. It has something to do with the way they broadcast, but I'm not well versed on exactly what that means. The Alpine system in my Jeep has a really good sound, but it can't even help Sirius.

The problem with Sirius/XM is compression. Bluetooth audio is also compressed, but it's using modern compression algorithms and gets updated frequently. Sirrius/XM is still using compression tech from 18 years ago to maintain backwards compatibility with older receivers.
