In my current trail vehicle I use a tablet for offline navigation.
Alpinequest off-road explorer lets me save maps and gpx tracks for use where there is no cell signal. Sky view, road maps, usgs topographical maps, forest service topo maps. I can also record my gps track and points of interest.
I have a mount on my center console for the tablet.

What options for mounting a tablet will the Bronco have?
Or will I be able to link it to the built in screen and do all I want to do?
The rail on the dash is awesome but I think a tablet would block too much of my view.

I'm assuming that here will be some aftermarket mounts available to replace the grab handle on the center console. Seems like an easy and obvious solution.

Yes that would be great. The handle is in a good location and should be plenty strong. Also not too much in the way.

Ram mounts are awesome. I’ve used them on my motorcycle and in the Escape

Sounds like your trail maps software will generate a .gpx file on your tablet. Based on the Bronco model and options you select, you could have access to "Connected Navigation" or "Connected Built-In Navigation". It is my understanding that once you connect your tablet via the USB type A or C ports located under the radio controls, the file will transfer to the Bronco Trail Maps software and away you go. Keep in mind, the option you select must have cellular to enable GPS. That comes at a cost. If your tablet is already GPS enabled the mount will be your low-cost option.

"Connected Navigation" or "Connected Built-In Navigation".
I don't know what the difference is in the built-in options but you are right that Ford talked about trail maps and downloading trails to the nav system. It may be very impressive. Most oem nav systems just don't do off the pavement well at all.

ACP doesn’t mirror. It creates its own interface wholly separate from what’s happening on the device.

You can only display apps on the head unit that are ACP compatable... which not all are.

Not sure about AA. But don’t have any experience with it.

Scoshe magnetic mounts have worked awesome for me in the past. Not a RAM mount but very strong magnets. Have a bunch of different arms/mounts for attaching to a dash/vent structure/whatever else. My experience has been with an iPad mini (absolute steal used on eBay btw), full sized iPad might require a stronger magnet.

Nice thing about using magnets is that you can easily disconnect the device from the mount to store in your console/give to passenger for nav etc. 67 designs is well known in the Jeep community for making slick arms that mount to a dash rail on one end and a ram mount on the other, no doubt they’ll have something for Broncos if you want to go that route.

disappointing this does not work better.

But I guess being forced to have a device for maping leaves the built in screen for the 360 trail cameras.
