Does anyone know the roof weight? This is cool, but looks like overkill.
I have manual hoists for motorized bikes in my garage, which I was thinking of trying.

68 lbs for a 4 door and 80 for a 2 door.

A harken top hoist should be fine. The release is a little finagley. Works fine on a heavier Jeep though.

The winch version I have is a little easier for one person: one hand for the button and one to guide the top.

Get one from HF for little over 100 bucks. That's what I plan on getting.

I bought this for my 2 door. It is delivering on Friday. I will update in a couple of weeks once I get it installed.

Well, that video is not going to help to mount anything on the ceiling. It better have more instructions than that.

I'm not sure how i feel about the middle section being connected like that... seems like that could stress the connection between the back clamshell and middle section. Just me?

Im thinking it installs like the other lifts they have.

I like the idea of that frame and how it fits into the top. I could fabricate that up and weld it.

I hummed and hawed about this for a while but finally purchased it last week. Should be able to install it within the next few weeks once it arrives.

Ultimately it suits my use case a lot more than the alternatives (Harken manual hoist or a Top-Loft Pro).

Im planning on mounting the electric hoist on the back garage wall and horizontally run the cables to ceiling mounted pulleys. That will give me the absolute minimum clearance for headroom.

My garage ceiling is also slopes to one side so this centerline lift system was really the only option.

As for the mid secrion support, it'll be just fine I'm predicting. Worst case some quicker wear and tear on the weatherstripping where it meets the clamshell. But truthfully I'd probably cause similar damage from having to find somewhere else in the garage to store it (ie. Shelf or ground).

Regardless, I'm excited!

I think the value here is the frame.
Absolutely. That and the clips ...
Very steep at $600.
What's the saying... They are very proud of their work? LOL
It is a very slick set up.

It's giving me ideas. I have unistrut laying around. The clips might prove to be the tricky part.
