Pretty sure price lock was for converted orders prior to 3/19/2021
“Offering price protection to all current Bronco order AND reservation holders (as of March 19, 2021).”

Not that it matters to OP, but the price lock statement suggests conversion date didn’t matter - all that matters was having a pre-March 19 2021 reservation.

Unless other information has come out to the contrary? I feel like I see this assertion that pre-March 19 CONVERSION (with no mention of reservation) as the only necessary condition quite often

I would expect to pay much higher than MSRP if you didn’t get your reservation in before the March deadlines. I don’t think any dealership would give you anything close to MSRP when you only ordered today. Expect at least $5,000 markup if not closer to $10,000 depending on your market.

That's simply not true. Lots of dealers are still offering MSRP (or below) for new orders.

Are they really? I would assume any new order would follow the same pricing structure as an abandoned order.

Nope. In fact, you can still get under invoice from someone like Granger. There are lots of good dealers out there. You just have to make sure you find one.

MY22 price will only increase a few hundred bucks. Skip the Starbucks twice a month from now until your Bronco comes in and that should cover it.

Instead of ordering you need to be talking to your dealer (and others) about pricing structure and add-ons (you don't need/want their mandatory nitrogen filled tires, window etching and rustproofing). Get it in writing and then order. If they don't agree find a dealer that will.
Yeah, my dealer has no ADM, MSRP only. No add-ons and lifetime powertrain warranty. I have to finish order process, hopefully tomorrow.

OP…..Run, run as fast as you can…..get while the getting is good. Do not venture down this path of self destruction and despair.

Yes, this is an intervention. This is what I would have told myself back on 13 July, 2020 if I had the clarity of hindsight and the wisdom of my misspent youth.

Buy an electric Jeep that gets about 3 miles of wheeling’ per charge. Get a stale, tired ass 4 runner, get a Defender with 4 flat tires, get a Rivian, or a Cybertruck, or a mountain bike, or a pair of Solomon hiking boots….but do not think that you will come away unscathed if you continue this exercise in futility, this pursuit of the forbidden fruit, this mirage called Bronco.

For f*ck sake haven’t you been reading comments by forum members on 6g. Is that how you want to end up…..like us? Sniveling about 1st world problems in a puddle of piss with a snot bubble in your nose? Arguing with some ass hat from Wyoming about whether AMB is really blue or black? Or if cactus gray is gray or a lovely minty green? About whether the WildTrak is a Raptor like Baja road racer or a mall crawling overpriced Outerbanks? Do you really want to have some cum bubble from Georgia tell you your Bronco isn’t a real Bronco because it’s a Moredoor?

Come on man……do yourself a favor and run. Run and don’t look back.

You’re welcome.

I also have a recent reservation and I've had two dealers tell me that I can't finalize my order until the MY22 order bank is open in late fall/winter. But, I am ordering a 2D, SAS, BL, 2.7, MIC, so there's no way in hell that I'm getting a MY21. If you are ordering a base softop, you MIGHT get a MY21, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I reserved this week for under invoice, having finally seen 4 and 2 doors, evaluated and test rode, and decided for sure I wanted a Bronco and the features. As forum member Arokcrwlr mentioned, most reservations logged now, cannot be placed as orders until around October, when MY22 order banks open.

Fan nature of this forum tends to inflate ideas of Bronco worth. Some will pay ADMs. But in the end Bronco is a mass produced vehicle (looking at eventual 200,000+ yearly production), to compete with Jeep Wrangler.

Some dealers are still willing to convert reservations into orders while some are not . What gives ?

Not sure. When I made a reservation recently, and corresponded with the dealer salesperson, I agreed it would be for a MY2022 order. And my understanding is the MY22 order banks don't open until Aug/Oct or possibly later. As that times nears, we will work on placing the MY22 order. Meanwhile a price related to invoice was agreed upon.

The salesperson had asked if I was reaching out to place a MY21 order, in which case maybe they would have tried to place an order now. I didn't see that as worthwhile, didn't think a 2-door hardtop would arrive for me in MY21, and would rather a later hardtop anyway with some issues worked out. Will see how it all goes ...
