Thats exactly correct. You're not losing your reservation for a MY2021 and your delivery will be relative to others who are waiting for the black hard top.

Many peoples concern was that they wouldn't be able to order modular black top at order time, and have to order it separate for much more money (due to freight).

It’s Ford that screwed this up. They wouldn’t dare punish their customers by bleeding them for additional fees for Fords mistake. When the tops are available we should set up an appointment with our dealers for the new roof, pay our $1800 and be on our way. We should also have the option of trading in our shitty gray tops to get $400 credit for the good tops. That’s what reputable companies do.

I was planning on dual tops with my 4 door.
Ford is pulling out too many rugs from under us and I'm really getting annoyed.

They have been pulling a bait and switch from the beginning.
They keep building up concept broncos that we can never get.
