Was sad to learn yesterday as I finalized the details of my Off-Roadeo that only Texas has manual Broncos.
I was under the impression that I’d be matched closely with my order. Not having a manual is a pretty big mis-match.

Well that sucks. Seems though they would have mixed it up to at least have one available.

I thought the same.
I am asking to defer my reservation until they have some on hand.

Ooooffpphhh…. mmm.

Well that changes my plans. I was going to register this weekend, but the primary purpose for me registering would be to check out the manual transmission and to see how hard it would be to get through the features with the manual.

Already driven a handful of Broncos with automatic transmissions at my local dealers.

Welp guess the gf will be able to drive at all points of the day then rather than certain points. Having never off roaded beyond semi difficult roads & ski mountains was really hoping to be able to push a manual in a closed course.

If true, that's a boneheaded move.

^^^^ Exact same! I have no interest in spending a full day being coached on driving a self-driving vehicle.

I thought someone mentioned they drove a manual while there...check out the NE Bronco posts:

I didn't see anything about manuals. I read about two doors. Did I miss it?

I was thinking of this from one of the linked posts "You will need to know how to utilize the manual (M) selection on the gear shifter and how to manually move the transmission up and down through the gears." After reading it again he's not talking about a manual...my fault for skimming

Don't get too jealous of TX, they have 1 manual.

Hey @dougiefresh I believe you are going to OR NH tomorrow. Could you please check the Bronco located in the “Sluice Box” display next to the Base Camp building. That Bronco may have a manual transmission. If so, could you also ask if it could be made available for student use? Thank you!

Well…. that’s just disappointing.

I know the Bronco Off-Roadeo is supposed to be a fancy marketing tool to show-off the cool technology in Bronco like trail turn assist (which is only available on automatic).

BUT if you got ~15% manual transmission take rate (assuming Bronco6g’s stats are accurate)… and you got twenty Bronco’s available at the Off-Roadeo, at least 2-3 should be manual.

I was disappointed that the only manual there was in a different group, so I didn't get to drive it. I'm still getting the manual, but after using things like trail turn and the off-road cruise control I can definitely see people moving to the auto. The trail turn was actually quite handy, especially on the 4 door, I thought it was going to just be a cute party trick, but I used it a lot. The trail control was good on long sandy hills. The one pedal drive is annoying if you're familiar with left foot braking, I won't regret not having that, much rather just use my other foot.
