Not super helpful, but I did find it interesting that they call out the spare tire does have a TPMS sensor in it; I know there was some posts on here stating it didn’t (or “unknown”). Thought I’d share simply for that tidbit of info.

Doesn't look like the TPMS in the spare reports information to the computer. It didn't show on the tire pressure management screen. Might only work when a few feet away from the wheel hub.

I wonder if this will go crazy when airing down on the trail? My guess is yes.

In the workshop manual you have to program the location of the four wheels when you do a rotation. So the spare doesn't read. But it's there for 5 tire rotations. It just goes out of the equation when that tire goes in the spare location(doesn't get programed).

Do you know when the CD workshop manual FCS2164721 will be available to the public?

You would think they’d take that in to account, but I have a feeling they didn’t. Haha

I was thinking that too, or if you were in a GOAT mode for off-roading or something. I suppose it’s still important for TPMS even when you air down… you could still get a flat tire on the trail.

Ive had a couple fords recently, 15 f-150 and 18 gt, both with 2 sets of wheels and tires. I did not have to reprogram any tpms, just drive for a couple minutes and the tpms screen info would automatically update. I read somewhere that the tpms senses rotation and will activate.

I was hoping it would be that simple with the bronco. 5 tire rotations and 2 sets of wheels will be common.

Is that through a dealer, or do you have a link to where it can be ordered from?

My ranger throws a low air notification... But you can still see how much air you have in the tires. Mine always show that I've aired down to 20-23... But not warning or code. Just notification that your have low air. When I pump them back up it goes away.

Current Ford TPMS do not need to be "activated" or calibrated to a new vehicle like some like to charge you. I do it all the time on wheel swaps and have for several years.

Yeah, we were aired to 25 psi at the Off Roadeo and the dash light was on, but no biggie.

Get the spare wheel spinning at 20mph or faster. :)
