One tons couldn't keep up with my 78bronco either so I got 2.5 tons. 4 years of abuse and over 900hp still holding on. If you can find some for a decent price get em they wont let you down.
Yeah, I agree. I just can’t find any for a decent price narrowed and with disc brakes at the hubs. They’re something 10k for a pair, then I’ve got to mount them, and I can’t weld. Everyone I’ve talked to wants 10k to do that.

All this talk about fender flares has me obsessing about wheels...

Well, thank god I'm not the only one who hates the fender flares. I think they look like crap on Jeeps (the stock ones, let alone bushwhackers) and they look even worse on this. If I was gonna be stuck with a stick on style fender flare, I was at least hoping for something more raptor-esque. Hopefully there’s a version that has more bumped-out metal fenders with no cheap looking plastic flares

The Wrangler ones at least have some contour and design to them. The ones on that 2 door looked a bit too much like the lawn edging mod for my tastes:

They do look pretty weird after all.

Yep. I'm not thrilled with these ones, though in a contrasting color to the body they don't look quite as bad as the 2 door broncokong pic did to me. Hopefully there are some other options, and a version with more flare to the metal part of the fender would be ideal.

Honestly, I think if the wheel openings weren't round, and more squared like the early Bronco, it wouldn't look so odd. The flare just looks even more odd being on a round wheel opening, at least to me anyway. I really want the Bronco, and Ford, to succeed so I'm still hopeful it will look better in person and official photos.

I'm wondering if the lower trims with smaller tires will have thicker more triangular flares that fill in some of that space?

agreed. I refuse to say that I owe and apology to JMTtulte or whatever his name is/was, but this thing looks designed to take 37s. (he just came in speaking without evidence/confidence in anyone, so while proven a few days afterwards that he was the real deal, I hold to what I said)

This thing will look BEASTLY with an SFA swap and 37s.

Also, those rims looked like 15s or 16s, which is great! I don't want to have to run a massively tall rim, I like a small rim and tall tires. lots of sidewall.
There’s no school like Old School. Lots of sidewall for me, 15”-16” wheels if possible. Yes.

I don’t really mind the flares although they do look better with bigger tires. Might look better if the rock rails stuck out a bit further and flowed into the flares more. Maybe make the rock rails a step too. I do like how wide they are though. Narrow body + wide track is a good recipe for the type of wheeling I like.

The flares remind me of the m715 but in plastic .... they just don't flow into the body. I can't imagine they are the final design, but who knows.

The aftermarket will address the flares. I would put money on Ford having upgrades available as accessories when it goes on sale.
