Absolutely. I found a dealer that would sell at invoice, so I went with that dealer when I reserved. We both signed a purchase agreement before I placed my order.

OP says he had one. I am kind of tired of people blaming customers for outrageous behavior of dealerships.

Not blaming the customer at all. All I'm saying is that we as customers should have a purchase agreement, signed by both parties, when ordering. Having this purchase agreement protects us as customers. Unless I missed something, OP didn't have a purchase agreement.

People should also address the dealers response. They aren't working with the OP. They fed him/her some bullshit on how they must overcharge him/her, in order to save them from flipping it themselves for a profit. It's their duty to do him/her this favor. Such utter Horse Shit. I have no dog in this fight, but unethical behavior should be exposed. Signed documents or not.

Everyone definitely should have gotten it in writing…and it doesn’t sound like this guy even got it verbally (he said he expected a mark up). That said…the dealer shouldn’t do this regardless, so it makes sense to help him pressure the dealer to sell it for sticker.

i just have the signed order conformation but i was under the impression that they would honor the early reservations to keep us from cancelling. Its Westway Ford in Irving texas.

That is all you need. And email correspondence including price and a confirmation is a signed contract.

Post your original offer sheet, dealer ADM charges and any other relevant and truthful info you have regarding the failed purchase.

Do you mean under MSRP? The price on the Ford window sticker? An invoice amount is what the dealer pays for the truck before their internal rebates/refunds come back from Ford.

No. I meant under invoice. $1k under invoice to be exact.
