Farley met with enthusiasts, trail guides, conservation volunteers, and rescue teams to see how customers are using their own off-road-focused vehicles on a regular basis. Turns out, he made one particularly interesting discovery on that journey.

“Customers also shared that they want more power options, not just for the vehicle, but to run their gear at campsites and on job sites,” Farley said. “This trip helped me think hard about what to offer in the U.S. and globally as we balance capability, range, and affordability. I’m so moved by what our Bronco team has accomplished, and I can’t wait for customers to see what we do next!”

Those comments seem to indicate that Ford Bronco owners were asking Farley to add Pro Power Onboard capability to that SUV, which is something that has proven to be quite popular with owners of vehicles that it’s already available in.

Definitely is in line with what @Beach_Bum shared with the potential engine options on the survey he received.
Yep. The option was tied to the hybrid powertrains, though. So it likely won't be a single line item option available to the 2.3L. I'd share the screenshot, but there are lurkers on B6G that don't care for the information being shared.

im sure some people needing to run AC gear off their bronco. I do not. I need reserve power for 12V and USB-C powered devices, so for now a DC to DC unit and a power bank are more useful to me.

Does Pro Power Onboard work with the vehicle off?
The vehicle remains on but toggles itself between battery and engine. Engine charges battery at intervals modulated by CPU. It’s a mode in the touchscreen options. Had the F150 Powerboost. Loved the versatility. Hated the recalls. Fourteen in two years.

Does Pro Power Onboard work with the vehicle off?
What Bronco_007 said. I loved mine, could power my tools and compressor when doing work at my moms house.. Had to get rid of it because the AC went out (in warranty) and Ford refused to acknowledge it was a problem, even though the TSB was out there. THe lines were freezing up, but because there was no code thrown, they said no problem. Traded in a week later
