Anyone else experiencing this? I only hear it at work while parked next to other cars lol. It sounds like exhaust or maybe a heat shield from under the hood but I cannot figure it out.

Rattle sound on startup

Can you upload a recording? I have a noise that could be described as a rattle that lasts for maybe 1 second on a cold startup.

I'm pretty sure that rattle sound is normal. It occurs at startup while the engine is at high idle and then goes away once the engine warms up.

Probably wastegate rattle - pretty typical and mostly benign

Yeah, I’ve had that noise since the Bronco was a few months old. Once I listened to recordings of cam phasers rattling and determined my noise wasn’t that, I quit worrying about it.

Could be the direct injectors warming up. On my cars, they're famous for being noisy like that. I presume on a cold start, they're the primary source of fuel to the cylinder until it warms up a bit and idles down, then over to the port injectors? I'm not really sure how the dual system works, but to me, it sounds like the direct injectors. No worries / issues if that's the case. Perhaps a can of fuel cleaner through the tank to quiet them down?

That sounds completely normal. No worries.
Waste gate actuator rod rattle Ford deems it normal there is a fix with a light weight spring on rod hooking on to nearby anchor that just puts slightest tension on the rod.

I always thought this is the infamous cam phaser rattle at cold startup. I hear on mine also. I've ignored it since warranty expired two months ago.
Nah, phaser rattle is very evident and can’t be mistaken because it’s a very loud rattle for 3-5 seconds. This honestly just sounds normal to me.
That defintely sounds like mild cam phaser rattle. Mine was way worse though. The wastgate is barely detectable, but there, and a higher frequemcy.
