The idea was to take it off the street altogether but a guy I've wheeled with suggested keeping it somewhat street legal because you can do more than a buggy. I have a 3.8 Ford V6, NP435, dual yotas, 38s on beadlocks, and elockers ready to go in addition to those yota axles.Here it is in it’s prime….1.6 16v, 3spd auto, 6.5 case. Fully built trail gear yotas running 37 reds. I ended up disassembling it to upgrade some things and do a full tube chassis….I’m not super far off from finishing but I got distracted by vacationing and then the new bronco so it’s been on the back burner for awhile now. New version is 2.0 3 spd auto sidekick case to samurai 6.5 case, same yota axles, ori struts and 39 reds…..as far as yours goes I would just give it some thought on what you wanna accomplish and what you would use it for and go straight to that. Once you go past 31s and samurai axles the street ability goes down drastically. Lol

It’s just a matter of would you rather spend time getting under there and design and build something….or just spend money and wait on long lead times to get some…next venture has some well designed body mount sliders. I would bet the 29 spline ifs front and pinky sized tie rods would fail long before their mounts. I do have some ideas for better mounts but I’ll see if these hold up very well before I get to carried away.I have some nice sliders off a jeep that are almost a perfect fit for my 2dr i could make some mounts but im wondering if its worth the trouble.
I have other dedicated rock rigs and the bronco sure aint gonig to be one .
Intrested to see what everyone does for the mounting.
Ok finally got a chance to put a tape measure on it….the smallest gap between the slider and body is 1”. I know the pictures tend to make them look closer cause of the angle.I think that those look great, I know how much fun fab work is! Give me some welders and some metal to weld and I might build you a shopping mall somewhere!
I do wonder though, how close are you to the body of your Bronc? I would worry that should the sliders be used as intended then the weight of the vehicle might push the sliders into the actual body of your "Off Road Destroyer" putting some unsightly dents into the fine Ford body work.
I might be wrong, I can't really tell the gap distance from the pictures.

Just in the main unsupported bend I added one on each side. If I had it to do again I would go bigger but I originally planned to put something across to catch the bolt hole underneath with a extra bolt so I needed to keep it accessible….I did change out a couple of the pinch weld bolts to slightly larger grade 8 hardware as well. I’m not sure it will help a whole lot but it’s got to be better than fords lil Chinese studs.I'd be really interested in seeing how and where you gusseted the factory mounts.
I have a set of extra factory rock rails and a set of JL sliders to weld onto them (carbon copy of @Tricky Dick project).
I plan on doing some reinforcement on the mounts as I do it vs. taking them back off, grinding, painting, having to re-install.
I could figure it out but I may overthink and over-engineer it, as I am prone to do.
