Keep in mind the wildtrack is geared for 35s. Drop sizes and you won't see much if any increase in fuel economy (especially at highway speeds).

This!

4.70s would be aggressive for a 33" tire. Too aggressive for a 32".

To actually save fuel you'd want a 285/70/17 (33") Firestone Destination AT2 (Best AT tire with low rolling resistance) at the absolute LARGEST.

OR

Go with a Pizza Cutter full time and not swap sets around.

285/75/17 is a great pizza cutter size.

Or 34x11 or 35x11.

what is the smallest size tire that would look good on a stock wildtrak? Considering putting on a smaller tire for daily use and having the 35ā€ when I take her off road. Thoughts? Iā€™m a rookie to this. So any insight would be appreciated.
35's is smallest that will look good. And as others have said, your speedo would be off unless you change it through ForScan every time.

Also, dump the Eco mode. I did that for 3 or 4 months straight, and though it improved my mileage by about a 1/2 mile per gallon. Switched back to Normal and the mileage stayed the same. I'm getting around 19 on a BaseSquatch 2.7l doing 80+ back and forth to work. I've seen others driving slower claiming they get around 20+. I don't see a benefit to a smaller tire.

Thank you for that. Perhaps I should just keep Lucile in the shoes she came with. You know?

your speedo is going to be off if you do this, just and FYI. Yes you can calibrate using Forescan but do you want to do that each time you change tires?
If he went with the ProCal FP tune all you have to do is hook up the controller to the OBDII port and punch in the new tire size.

Now back to the OP, once you've seen 35s on a Bronco it's hard to want to go smaller, especially on a 4 door, but the pizza cutter idea is a good one, less rolling resistance but still the same diameter.

Also unsprung weight is huge.

The factory headlock capable wheels are 35-36 lbs each.

My RTR wheels are 22 lbs each. Just switching to a lighter wheel will give you better mpgs.

315-70-17. In my opinion anything smaller on squatch wheels at squatch ride height looks funny. Maybe the 33s that are standard on the Badlands wouldnā€™t look too bad, but still a little small. In all vehicles, stance is everything!
Agreed. Stance/image is everything. Lol!
Forget practicality!

If I was looking for practically, Iā€™d go buy a hybrid mini van.

This.

I have 37s and I'm not sure what my MPG has gone down to, I'll have to double check. But if I stay out of the boost the tank does travel about as far as it estimates.

I too am a rookie to big off road tires and at first thought the Sasquatch tires looked comically large. I would have upgraded to the 33ā€ on a Black Diamond had that been a choice.

Badlands was too expensive for me. Priced out wheels, tires, suspension, labor, etc and decided to just get Sasquatch from the factory and Iā€™m glad I did. I love it every day.

If you really baby it and drive under 65mph you can achieve 20mpg. Itā€™s not easy but doable. I average 19.5 ish driving mainly country roads around 50-60 mph.
