I'm sure someone else caught this, but in the Moab video... the opening shot shows a dash readout that claims the Bronco was getting 15.8 mpg.

I'm guessing it is a Badlands, but it seems to have the wider flairs that are part of SAS.

I'd say 15.8 isn't terrible, if he's running around off-road.

Seriously, The Jeep get's +/- 17 combined and the Bronco is about the same weight, but with a better rake on the front window; however the Bronco has a steeper Final Drive Ration (4.7 on all Sasquatch automatic and 4.46 on Badlands automatic, without Sasquatch) vs Jeep gears at 3.73 standard and 4.11 Rubicon and Mojave). So, with all these plusses and minuses, I expect the mileage on the Bronco to also be +/- 17. I guess if you want a vehicle that gets 30 mpg combo, you could get a Honda Fit!!!

Well, my wife wasn’t behind the wheel - avg. mph would have been lower?...
No doubt, these test drivers/ engineers are pushing (longevity testing) those horses to the limit. Reducing potential unforeseen/ recently corrected flaws translates to less bugs arising on active sold Broncos- post commercialization.
No Eco-mode ( that red button on the dash) for these fellas..... Baja mode during Ca to Ut, plus off-road excursions might be resultant of shown 15.8mpg Avg.

If your wife was behind the wheel, my MPG would have been much lower, as I sped to catch up to her!!!

The MTE is how many miles you can drive on what your average mpg overall has been.

It's going 28 mph. When I have my fuel monitor on while driving on my road (ungraded, dirt/sand) going 20, guess what kind of gas mileage I get? IT AIN'T 15.8 I can tell you that.

If you go back and watch the video that image is taken while they are on the highway driving to Moab. They are driving the manual transmission because it shows him shift so it must be a 2.3l engine. Since it is a manual we know it is not the four door sasquatch and we also know it is not the 2dr badlands because the video shows them passing the 2dr. So, I deduce that this is the mpg of the trip in the 4dr badlands with 2.3l and manual mostly highway miles.

Cheaper than the $ per mile taking a cab. Anticipating a drive in the Bronco in FUN per mile and a BLAST per gallon. The best part is enjoying it in both directions, going to & coming back. Expecting the $ part to get lost with the rest of the credit card items.

157.9m/2.75h=57.4mph avg on trip
333m/15.8mpg=21.1 gallons of fuel left on a full tank

Seems like highway mpg on a 4dr.

Sitting idling actually reads as zero mpg and really drops your reading on the gauge.

Especially at an exhibition / showcase, they're going to have that thing idling so they can showcase the tech without killing the battery.

Coworker idled his truck enough that it stated "70 miles to E" when he still had 2/3 of a tank

Not much time spent idling when you average 57.4 mph over 2 hours and 45 mins. We know they stopped for gas recently, so it wasn't only interstate driving for the recorded trip when the snapshot was taken.

15.8 mpg is right where I thought it would be, so I like it. Half the mpg of my commuter car and 50% better than my camping rig.

looks high. Caught this from their screen breakdown:
19mpg seams a bit more realistic, especially with larger tires.
