After damaging the M220 beyond repair I decided to upgrade to the Spicer Dana HD60 rear axle. these are now available in several widths. They are available for the Bronco in a 69." And also a 4" wider version the 73".

https://danaproparts.com/i-30498028...-38-gear-ratio-eaton-elocker-73-in-width.html

I did alot of research and chose this axle over a custom built 9" axle for several reasons. The price is very similar for a custom 9" complete axle, but The Spicer is far more "plug and play" and was purpose built for our broncos.

The axle is VERY heavy-duty and has worthwhile improvements over a standard d60.

The installation went super easy and Spicer even included a Extreem duty track bar as well.

Nice. Digging the boxed lower TA and shock mounts.

I did my signature BMB lift as well....re drilled the shock mounts higher.

I chose 1.5" lift this time (instead of 2") , and will adjust front ride height to match.

I'll cut and reweld the lower portion of the boxed bracket for a 2" increase in ground clearance, next.

Maybe they will see this, and adapt. A simple fix to anyone likely looking at this axle.

yeah all the brackets are twice as thick.
/That is a true and honest upgrade! Damn that is nice! So you are adding the Rapter long arm? I am sure you have stated it elsewhere but if so I must have missed it. That thing is already awesome... Now it is going to be unstoppable as well. Let me guess... IED resistant? I be to some extent your under armor is....

Very nice! I always get a kick out of the argument that today’s new era D44s are beefier than a D60. You can throw handfuls of money at the D44 to beef it up, but at the end of the day you just end up with really expensive D44 for close to the same cost as a D60. If I’m planning to actually wheel my rig I always sh*than the factory axles and immediately slap in a pair of D60s. The piece of mind alone that you’ll make it home is worth the expense.
