Is there a mileage number that this is no longer a concern? Will I be checking coolant levels every week for the time I have the vehicle?

Nope. It will either happen or it won’t.Is there a mileage number that this is no longer a concern? Will I be checking coolant levels every week for the time I have the vehicle?

Finally got an update from the dealer today, and so far they've concluded that at a minimum, the 7MT is leaking oil, and there is at least one failed seal on the transfer case (the slow leak that many have shown photos of the leaking ATF).So sorry to hear this, mate. Any update?
How does this work after warranty period? Is the owner on the hook for a new engine, if the cracked block shows it's face after warranty? It is not a recall at this point. Just notification to the dealer if one comes in with this concern, Ford is aware of it and to proceed with replacement if testing leads to a cracked block.
Yep, must have been operator error after the warranty expires. How does this work after warranty period? Is the owner on the hook for a new engine, if the cracked block shows it's face after warranty?
After the 5/60 powertrain warranty, assuming there's not extended service plan, then it would be on the owner. They could come out with a FSA that could extend those time and mileage limitations but that would be at their discretion and probably unlikely. How does this work after warranty period? Does that mean Ford will reach out to those 131 affected vehicles with a resolution?Looks like this just became a customer satisfaction program.
Only 131 vehicles affected between Bronco, Ranger and Explorer though, so not really a huge issue.
Yes, owner letters are expected to be mailed the week of November 13th. The resolution is engine replacement for those 131 affected.Does that mean Ford will reach out to those 131 affected vehicles with a resolution?
I’m curious to know how they identified those 131 affected. Is it anyone who fell within the affected date range or only those who have already reported issues/concerns. I fall within the date range and have the 2.3, but I haven’t experienced any coolant loss other than an initial low coolant that was likely due to a bubble that worked itself out of the line. After filling it, I haven’t had any issues … curious if I should be expecting a notification.Yes, owner letters are expected to be mailed the week of November 13th. It's only for specific VINs listed within the date range. Not every vehicle in the date range will be affected. The program will show up on Oasis for dealerships if the VIN is affected. Also I believe you should be able to search for recalls on https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/ which should show whether your VIN is affected or not.I’m curious to know how they identified those 131 affected.
