I haven’t checked how to confirm. Is it a build date? I know it doesn’t yet have the grinding noise when cold, but it also has only 160 miles on it.
Look for the tag on the transmission which is easy to see. And yes it will end in AB if the newest version which started being installed late April. It's just a slight rattle noise and not something severe like a cracked block. How does that happen?

The list of things to worry about is getting quite long. 😲
  • Cracked engine block
  • Manual Transmission noise
  • Top delaminating/cracking
  • Fried electrical system from loose wires
  • Bricked Bronco from bad over-the-air update
  • Steering/suspension failure from a rogue curb or sharp turn
  • Alternator taking a dirt nap from a mud bath

Par for the course, its a Ford. They don't give a fuck about quality.

You forgot about the dealers forgetting to torque lug nuts. Ours were around 40 ft-lb when I got home from picking it up and re torqued them.

Typical Ford! Nothing to worry about though, it just makes it easier for the tech to fix the problem, IF, your vehicle engine fails and falls working the date range. Powertrain is 5/60k so just enjoy the truck

Switched my HE to a 2.3 cause of my current 2.7 already had cam phasers replaced. There's no winning. Wonder if we can swap a carbed 302 with points into one.

Well I just looked around the Bronco and here’s what I’ve got:

Blend Date 3/30/23 (in the window)
Date of 3/16/23 on the engine (not in the window)

Will be curious to know how this goes and which date, the vehicle or the engine, govern the inclusion in the service bulletin. Needless to say it does not inspire confidence.

Coolant level looks fine, just below max, and 7MT is amended with the updated -AB.

The v8 engines seem to be problem free, just saying
Sorry but not recently. They have suffered the same type of lack of quality issues as all the others. Talking the 5.0 up to and including the Godzilla.

Did the math, there's one guy that got all those.

SSM 51754 2023 Bronco/Ranger/Explorer - 2.3L Engine - Loss Of Coolant With Coolant In Oil - Built On 27-Mar-2023 And Through 18-May-2023
when things like this are given as a date range, is it the date of the engine being built, the entire vehicle saying built, or is it relative to blend date? These can all vary greatly. For instance mine had a blend date of 3/21, my modules populated around 3/22, the tracker changed to built on 3/27, got my built email 3/29. I believe I am just ahead of the problem builds, due to I believe there is some lag between coming off the assembly line, and those systems updating. My bronco was also delivered with 54 miles on it so I think it may have had additional QC checks done to it which may account for some of the lag. I guess I will go check my oil/coolant anyway.

Vehicle build date according to OASIS. They should have the affected engine batch to that date range.

Looks like right when I stopped taking interest in clicking the same thread over and over and over... I get hit with the next thread that will carry my interest.

I guess I'll need to pop the hood a few times/week to keep an eye on this. F#*K.
