I'm about to pull the trigger on one and was wondering, what everyone thinks about them.

Brands, durability, functionality, noises....Pros/Cons, etc

Would love to hear some feedback!
Thanks!! Sean
I purchased and installed the Ford tailgate table, (well actually I just used some Ford pass points). Anyway, it is built very well and I am pleasantly surprised that it does not rattle or make any strange noises. I will say that their installation instructions absolutely suck, and it does require drilling the inner portion of the tailgate to install it. (you need to be VERY careful to use a depth limiter on the drill!!). To be honest, I probably would not buy this one again though. Not so much because of the quality or the installation instructions but soley because the fasteners they provide are as cheap as you can get. In fact, I went to Ace Hardware and replaced them after attempting to install the first fastener which is an aluminum self-cinching Pem Nut. Go buy some steel ones and don't waste your time with the aluminum ones provided.

Went with JCR, but am concerned since users have had a few issues. Wish I’d waited for them to get things dialed in now that my Bronco is almost certainly delayed.

Lack of molle on the rough country ruled it out. Not sure how much I’d use the extra table space, while I will for sure use the molle. Also, wasn’t thrilled with the looks and effort to fold everything out. Those were minor things though.

Low weight rating on the Ford concerned me. Thought it indicated cheap fasteners (seems true) and maybe lighter weight molle. Looks really good though.

Where did you see that it requires removing the spare tire? We didn't do that. The instructions we received were for a Jeep JK so we just winged it. Perhaps they have updated the instructions for Bronco and added that step? I don't know, but we installed it without removing the spare tire or mount. We did run into one issue where the upper-right self-tapper ran out of talent before it could drill all the way through the spare tire reinforcement plate inside the tailgate but we dealt with that simply enough. We did an install video in case you're interested:

I am looking at 3 brands of tables. It is not the Rock Slide table that required that...it was another one (it was no drill, bolt on instead and you had to remove the spare, spare mount, etc). I will probably go with the Rock Slide model. Thanks

Sorry for the misunderstanding. You made that comment in reply to my post about the RSE table so I thought that was the one you were talking about.

I really like the design of the Trailgater by Outback Adventures for Jeeps. It has a nice pull-out cutting board area that can be used as additional table space.

I reached out to Doug from the company and he was super quick to respond with a prototype photo and said that they were getting ready to release this upcoming week. Important to note that the production table has changed slightly from the photo below. Excited to see this option as well!

Here is a review from Brad at TrailRecon: Link
Bronco version now available to order "on sale" at $427.
Expensive but quality materials and claimed easy 15 minute install, no drilling!

Went with this one too. Agreed with above. Bonus, relative to the Ford one (I think), is that it has a solid surface with no holes and also retains the molle grate.

I didn't like the raw open floor left where the box mounts, so I modified the anchor caps by drilling a hole to allow for the box anchor - more finished look now.

Did you get 4 or two caps back? My drawer was already nstalled and looks like the dealer only gave me 2 caps back.
