There a reason why 2 Bronco's would drive different?

I have 2 Bronco's that drive noticeably different. They have the same engine and wheels.
Bronco 1: 2022 Badlands SAS, 2.7, 2 Door
Bronco 2: 2023 OBX, SAS, 2.7, 2 Door

The Badlands is much quicker and even sounds more aggressive. While it doesn't have Sport mode, it drives like is when in Normal.

Is there a reason for this and is there any easy way to test this other than feel?

The more aggressive sound you describe may be tricking your mind into thinking it's faster. I believe the Outer Banks has additional sound insulation. That may explain the sound difference.

If course you could test your perception by taking them to a track and running then in the quarter mile. Worth the expense and effort? Probably not.

Going off of what @TX-Dennis was saying, does the OBX have high or lux? I think one of those is what added the extra sound deadener but also does it have carpeting? Sound does play a part in the sensation of speed.

Outside of that you could dyno both of them to see if power is the same or just find an empty road and run some 0-60 times.

Not your case, but the weight diff between the lightest 2-door and heaviest equipped 4 door is around 900lbs. Carting around all that extra weight comes with a price. Just something to thing about for some folks when equipping a vehicle.

I believe the LUX has fake engine noise piped in through the speakers. I know there is a setting in Forscan to turn it off anyway. Might try that as see if they sounds the same.

Probably some difference in the tuning/programming.

My 2.3 4dr Badlands non-Squatch , the pedal lag is freaking horrible. Trying to cross a busy roadway is an exercise in terror when you stomp on the pedal and it just thinks about it for a moment while you roll slowly into the intersection ... then it jumps from under you like it was .... horse whipped.

It's not turbo lag, a 7.3L Powerstroke diesel defines turbo lag, this is something else. I've driven other 4cyl turbos, this is a tuning issue.
