Lawyer up!Caught this on Facebook, it’s by far the worst dealer yet.
That’s interesting…..however, if the dealer wanted to use the excuse for him being reseller/exporter, they could have just flat out denied the sale. The dealer also made him sign an agreement not to resell for 24 months. He says he owns a classic car auction site.
First Sale Doctrine.Ford had those contracts with Ford GT buyers that they wouldn't sell for two years.
John Cena sold his early, Ford sued him, and Cena settled.
It seems that it is possible to write an enforceable contract that puts stipulations on future sale.
Exactly what I was thinking before I scrolled down to your comment. I'm never doing this againUp until this post, I wasn't a fan of Ford going to a Tesla model of car delivery (each vehicle custom ordered). Now? I'm starting to think the dealer model needs to die.
Agree and why would you pay 25k over MSRP for a first year?!?The dealership model needs to die and this is a prime example why.
Everyone post a bad review!!! This is insane! I just left mineCaught this on Facebook, it’s by far the worst dealer yet.
Why does the sales contract state MY 21-22 ?Yeah but the paper he signed says a Badlands... not a First Edition. So i'm not sure what is going on.
MAYBE he reserved one truck but wanted to get a different truck instead, and the dealer won't budge, which is what Mike Levine was talking about? We have no clue, there's a lot missing from the story here. Because he keeps talking about a First Edition, but then why is he signing something to have them find a badlands??? Why would he even need to sign that if he's already got a reservation? No clue what happened here. Did the dealer mess up a deposit paperwork? Are they actually trying to screw him and make more $$. Or did this Tom guy leave out a lot of important details that might not make his case seem so good? Nobody can tell right now. TOO MUCH missing from this story. Just a few screen shots doesn't tell us anything about what actually happened. It's completely 1 sided right now.
