I got to thinking. A question for the OP. Has the driver's side fender been replaced or repainted? That could explain the Sasquatch emblem.

Interesting you brought that up. I think you are totally on to something. When we made the deal they did bring up that the front end was damaged getting it off the Car Hauler. It did go to the dealership body shop, but according to them will not be recorded as any type of "being in an accident". It happened unloading the semi. So my thought is you have the correct answer to this! Body shop probably were responsible for putting on the wrong badge.

On a positive note...everyone tries to make their Broncos unique...beat this! lol Thank you all for weighing in!

I am reading that you bought this used (a '23 bought in '25), and probably had no window sticker. Doesn't mean one is not available - that can be gotten from the Ford site. You relied on the salesman representations.

Whether it's fraud or not depends on what IL vehicle law say about your situation. If you think you got cheated, that is where your answer will be, not on a forum.

Even though this is a hard lesson learned, you still got a great vehicle that is fun to own. Go make some adventures with it. That is why you bought it, right? The Badlands is a great configuration, with or without Sas.
Good luck.

Case Solved:

Thank you everyone for weighing in! Also thanks for not calling me a dolt...which I know I deserve.
Its not your fault, it is 100% confusing and having the wrong decal applied certainly doesn't help.

Factory put the wrong sticker on one side and nobody noticed.

Packages are listed on the Monroney (window) sticker. Those are available from Ford even on a couple year old vehicle.

Yeah that is unfortunate that the dealer's body shop likely put the wrong badge on...but given that at a glance it doesn't really stand out that one says Sasquatch and one doesn't, humans DO make mistakes.

Sounds like all of this was 100% unintentional, and a salesman who didn't know what he was selling.

My local dealer works a little differently - they have a guy that is their 'lead truck salesman,' tasked with knowing as much as he can about Ford trucks, a 'lead Bronco salesman,' tasked with knowing everything he can about Broncos, and a 'lead Mustang salesman,' tasked with knowing everything he can about Mustangs. Other sales people work with anybody, but when there is a specific question about one of those product lines, they're called over to talk about it.

I'm just curious about this situation and would appreciate any expert advice. I only recently discovered I don't have a Sasquatch package on a 2023 Bronco Badlands I bought new from a large dealership. It was implied that it was a Sasquatch model. I really knew nothing about what that actually mean't, other than supposedly an upgrade. I was under the impression I had a Badlands Squatch until a relative purchased a new Bronco Badlands Squatch. He commented on my smaller wheels and rims. This started me looking into it.

Without judgement please weigh in.

I used chatgpt to look into how to tell the difference. Yeah I'm clueless. After checking axle gears and tire size, it bacame obvious it isn't a Squatch. So why did I think it was? 2 reasons.

1. Salesman implied it. - Yeah I know, it was a car salesman, so why did you believe him.

2. See picture attached. This is what I really would like some thoughts on, specifically if they comitted fraud, or at least deceptive business practices?

Why would the sticker on the drivers side say "Sasquatch" and the passenger side not? Based upon my research this sticker should not be on it?

Finally...I'm not interested in buying any swampland, just educated on this. 😬

My salesman knew nothing about the suspension options. thankfully google answered my questions and educated me on base, sas, and hoss packages. Now just need ford to make a bloody software update for 25s49.

This is like chatting with a gal at the bar and discovering it's a dude 😄😄
Then call me Uneasy Rider, cause the I see OP's situation is more or less a win if he didn't pay more for a Sqatch.

Because a regular Badlands is a better choice to end up that contains all of the good of the Sasquatch package with lockers, gear ratios, and GOAT modes and then dodging the same exact same suspension limited by 2" of travel and some terrible tires and mid wheels.

Be thankful you didn't get a sasquatch.
Everything about the Sasquatch is ford total junk ! Now you get to build it your way with good quality aftermarket upgrades ! If I had it to do all over again I would have gotten similar to what you got !
