I sell insurance in Virginia. I have a client that is getting a Bronco LONG before I will. New vehicles take forever to get into the insurance carriers systems. One of my carriers told me to do a few things to smooth the process. They told me they had to add the vehicle to their system manually and THEN I could add the vehicle to the policy. When you get your new Bronco:

1) Take a couple of good pictures of the window sticker
2) take a picture of the Bill of Sale or scan it.

Provide both of these things to your agent so the carrier can get it into the system and then they can add it to your policy. Not all carriers work this way so you may check with your agent to see how it works.

I have no idea what the laws are for other states, but Virginia requires that all carriers give 14 days of coverage on newly purchased vehicles. Do not wait until the last minute to get them this info.

As time goes on, Ford will get the VIN numbers added to the insurance database long before people get their vehicles or buy them off of the lot.
