TSB for subwoofer rattle issue, 23-2241

Brought my 23 in for another repair and they checked the subwoofer rattle. Came back with TSB 23-2241 for the rattle. I searched on here and online but don't see it mentioned anywhere so I thought I would pass this along since many have posted about it. Parts are on backorder.

Anybody else have separation on rear speaker housing? I've got gorilla tape holding my speaker housing together on a first edition bronco with 13k miles on it.

Yeah I think it’s because the part number is new. Ford shows it on backorder, but also shows a few thousand at a Depot which is odd and a little confusing to me.

If you want them, having your dealership emergency order them is probably your best bet at this point.

im with ducati. since i cant find anything online about it probably the newness is causing the delays. i was told late august is the tentative earliest date. tsb is dated last week, july 27.

I still have a few rattles in my 2dr even after pulling the panel and using killmat all over on that side and putting rubber washers between the sub bolts. I chased 90% of them away but at a certain point even the external fender flare will vibrate on the right note.

challenge accepted. i've heard it a lot on DMB songs. was like all but 2 of my videos to show the tech if needed.

I just did my subwoofer undelete and I had the blue clips. My blend date was 6/9. Another thing I saw that no one has mentioned in other threads was a plastic and foam baffle over top of the fake sub. It was held in place by the same screws that held the fake sub in. I put it back when I reassembled everything

My april build 23 doesn't have the issue but the sub is so shitty it bottoms out and distorts anyway if you try to play stuff with lots of lows or crank it with almost anything (IE top off enjoyment... so its almost moot. Really sad that Harman Industries would allow one of their brands to even be associated with such a crap system.

Hard to say, but more likely just the fact that the sub is junk. You could try pushing on the enclosure when its doing it and see if the noise changes if you aren't confident that its the speaker itself making the noise.

Probably if it is a hum. Everyone just calls it’s a rattle.

I work at a dealership lol here you go.

Side question for you since you work at the dealership. Are the tree clips (W722128-s300) available through the parts counter at your dealership? I’m not finding them online. Broke a couple on my Bronco taking out the factory dummy sub box.
