Unbelievable....the Wiper Update is ONLY if you're having problems!!

Finally called local dealer (who sucks) and was told be service rep that it's a customer satisfaction program and ONLY if you're having problems can you get it done....I said, oh, so I wait until I'm in a downpour and they quit working....she didn't even chuckle. Just read off the paper, only if you're having problems. So I guess I'll be forced to lie next time I call.....Ford, YOU ARE STUPID.

My dealer did it no questions asked, actually set it up without me mentioning it when it was in for a top issue.

That's 100% false, the bulletin literally says "This service must be performed on all affected vehicles"
Affected=All vehicles identified in Oasis
Nowhere does it say "if the concern is happening"
Find a new dealer, because they're idiots.

Find a new dealer. The Bulletin and what was sent in the mail is pretty clear that it applies to all.

All North American Dealers are to update the wiper motor software using a flash box. One flash box will be provided to each dealer. For additional information about the flash box, refer to Parts Ordering Information section. This service must be performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner.

Thats not true at all. I am a mobile tech and I call people all the time to do these recalls. I do ask if they have had any problems, but regardless of their answer I still do it. Your dealer must not have a mobile tech or they are extremely backed up

I brought my Bronco in for some scheduled maintenance and they did both the wipers and seatbelts - I didn't even ask about them. they were on my paperwork as completed when I picked it up.

My dealer did it while it was in the shop for Trans TSB and Roof replacement.

They didn’t ask me about it, nor was I having problems.

Find a better dealer or lie to them. It’s a recall, not a TSB or SSM

My dealer just came and did the update in my driveway a few hours ago. Never asked for it, they called out of the blue to set up the appointment.

Find another dealer!

My new dealer is so good that they called me and said you have two open recalls on your Bronco, my response was that I'm too busy to bring it in there and if they have one of those mobile techs that they can set up an appointment and come out and fix the thing in my garage. They agreed and set up an appointment to come flash my stuff. The original dealer I purchased the truck from are retards and I won't even take it there to get an oil change.

For the little I use the wipers they seem fine.
